Zephyr is a captive-born gray wolf at the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, in South Salem, NY. He is one of the four 'ambassador wolves' at the WCC that help teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment.

One of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard... Nature's music. Unfortunately the red wolf population park service introduced to the smokies died out in a couple of years. I know you shouldn't make eye contact with a wolf (they take it as a challenge to attack), but I looked directly into a wolf's eyes in the wild once. Fortunately I was safely in a truck, but boy was it incredible.
