Just as much work went into the says, and the furniture as into the blade, absolutely beautiful work in all. I would be proud to display this piece on my hip as on the stand, thank you for this great, it was well worth watching.

Amazing work! You are extremely skilled, I suspect that you may have been practicing because the making of the sword went so well. As the old martial arts saying goes, those who train have better luck and once again we find that there is wisdom in the old sayings. When swords are stored correctly now, there is no fear of offending the God of War, so we can safely wait to see what interesting the blessed blacksmith will forge next. According to Finnish folklore, Blacksmith and demigod Ilmarinen (see Tolkien Illuvatar, etc.) forged a golden wife for himself. Fortunately, we hardly get to see this, the story did not end well.

the patience required here is astounding. I am not sure I posses enough patience to do this in this way. Wow this is insane. The tatami cuts are really good for such a small blade ! May I ask why you chose to use a plain blank for the blade instead of a damascus one ? Is it for strength ? How long did it take you for you to realize this whole project ? Can I apply for an internship ? 😁

I think it's a wonderful sword even from a Japanese perspective. However, I am very disappointed, but I think that the way the blade of a "Japanese sword" is made is different. When making a blade, when the metal of the ridge and blade is tempered, it naturally bends into the shape of a ``Japanese sword''. If you make it this way, it will become a "knife"... It's a wonderful looking sword, so as a Japanese person, I would be very happy if you could try to make the blade perfect.
