Beautifully done, both in terms of food and production! The casual, conversational manner of this video was wonderful in my opinion and a great change of pace - it just feels so natural. It's difficult to describe, but you really feel like you're there in the kitchen with a friend who's whipping something up. Not having a soundtrack really boosted this style of video as well - just hearing the clinking and scraping of things is wonderful. Gorgeous food, gorgeous video. Thanks!

First off, let me say I enjoy this video style WAAAAAAY more!!! Feels like the audience is right there with you :)
@defrte7 жыл бұрын
I like it, it's definitely more dynamic The only problem I have is that it's usually out of focus
@amandaingraham32447 жыл бұрын
I want to like this style, but it's giving me the dizzies. The in and out of focus, the moving around. I love that you're trying something new though!
@janeearly20607 жыл бұрын
Its cool getting to hear you thoroughly explain what you're doing during each step, the constant refocusing of the camera was giving me a headache though
@msquaredmedia87177 жыл бұрын
No intro, the first half seems like you're mumbling to yourself. I thought it was an outtakes clip before the actual video until it went on too long I realised that's just the video. Bit much on the filming. Enjoyed the videos before even for the food I wouldn't even eat let alone cook lol.

I love this new style! So chill and relaxing and easy to follow along.

I love that you just dived right in. I know this doesn't make much sense but it feels more intimate this way. Less like we're an audience and more like we're right there in the kitchen with you watching you cook. And definitely more peaceful and relaxing rather than other types of cooking videos here on youtube!
@meghanroy2057 жыл бұрын
The new style gives off a more artsy, fresh & elegant vibe. The way it was filmed really immersed me in the cooking-like I was there watching it in real life. Well done!

love the change of pace! your channel is always so perfectly artistic and high-end chef style, it's interesting to see a video this way. But of course i love the regular style, it's a perfectionist's dream :-)

Although the majority may not like it, I like this style A LOT. Feels like I'm watching a Bob Ross art tutorial, the way you're explaining, the serenity and everything. The only complaint I have is that, nothing can come close to your incredible camerawork
@krismiles3667 жыл бұрын
I like this style a lot! Would certainly watch more videos like it.
@musicbysarah17 жыл бұрын
Yeah I liked the video style. The only thing i would 'complain' about was that sometimes the camera was too close. ie. You trying out the cobbler and the camera going back and forth from you to the dish. Camera took a little time to focus. But, I do really like this style of video. It's something new and fresh on your channel.

Sarah Palmer yep. Couldn’t agree more. Love the new style but the out of focus and macro shots were overkill. This being said from his countless other to the point fixed focus shot videos. Just something new I’m not used too. Keep up the good work!

I felt like I was there straight up chillin' with you in your kitchen! Reminded me a little with peacefulcuisine ( the whole no music , just you, the ingredients, and us, the viewers! ) It's less cooking show-ish and more intimate in a way. Either way, I'm for it all the way 👍
@bigwoo7 жыл бұрын
I liked this. It felt very behind-the-scenes-ish, very organic, and intimate. No music, no voice over, and very little if any post-production. Almost like in between recipe shoots you decided to whip up a quick cobbler while your crew (whether you have a crew or not) set up your kitchen for the next shoot.

I like this video style! It feels like we're in the kitchen with you just chilling while you cook, haha. The only thing I would add is a title screen that fades into the video for a quick second before starting the dish. I think the end product picture as the intro screen is a little jarring because it's a still screen with no sound that quickly changes to you cooking with sounds. I think if you add more of a gentle fade or blurry to focused video with some quiet cooking sounds at the beginning that will start the video with a bit more ease. I hope that makes sense. I don't really know how to describe what I'm envisioning. Anyway, I'm excited to watch more videos like this!

do circles in the bowl lifting up towards your chest and back down fast into the side of the bowl when making whipped cream by hand, you push more air into it. kinda like how jaques pepin does it with eggs for an omelet.

Just curious at what temperature and for how long did the biscuit cook for? You never mentioned it nor was it listed in the instructions. A detail like that shouldn't be overlooked in recipies. Would love to know so I can make this myself! Ty!

Is there anything you can use that’s nonalcoholic in place of the run?
@jimmine17 жыл бұрын
Sienna Wishewan Sienna Wishewan you can probably use a rum extract. You can find it in your grocery store spice isle. You get the rum flavor without the alcohol. But the alcohol gets cooked out so you won’t have to worry about the effects of the alcohol.

I'm digging this new style, it's very refreshing. I love the style of your old videos as they are a perfectionists ideal video but this! This felt more personal, I'm looking forward to your growth as a channel and as a person :) love the vids! I have only one critique and it would be to enunciate alittle more, The volume itself was fine but I felt like some words got lost. Otherwise I really enjoyed this! Very new and fun
