Nailed it. The recording is more of a thumb-index banjo picking style like this.

Been following you for a little while now and am majorly impressed, both with your laid back instruction and teaching and equally your vast range of styles, this is brilliant and will no doubt be another I purchase and feebly attempt😬 Just wondering how many of us out there learning Finger style have an arsenal of partly learned tunes, I know I have far too many and should really knuckle down and finish some (At least) off, but then I'll see something like this and then go off learning yet ANOTHER new song!?😒 Keep on doing what you do Chris, good stuff!👍

Thanks a lot, really pleased to hear that you like my lessons. I too have many songs that are only half learnt. I think it's totally normal but yes do try and learn one from start to end. It's really important to gradually build up a repertoire of good songs. Thanks again

Love your channel,; working on several of your songs. A question: what microphone do you use, and do you have any thoughts on an amp for fingerpicking? Thanks again!!

Hi, glad you like my channel. I have a few mics - main ones are a Rode NT1 and a pair of Neumann KM184s. I personally like AER amps
