Black box- again great info indeed. Question- when you build the cyan extended centerline in the fix info page for the purpose of a potential eng fail on t.o. - will that cyan dashed line stay on both ND’s for reference until you go into the fix info page and clear it ( at 10,000’ )? Also I assume if you actually end up with an eng failure on t.o. - you can’t actually insert the fix info you built- you would need to use the heading mode to fly that extended centerline ? I noticed on your t.o. out of EDDF that the cyan ext centerline you built in the fix info page was not present on your ND- why ? Many thanks.
@osamaIK5 жыл бұрын
Usually you wont use fix info cyan line for navigation (So yes, you would need to use heading) or engine failure, you would only use it to increase your situational awareness. For Eng fail after TO, you usually would copy the active flight plan to secondary and change destination to your departure airport and runway at a point which you think is acceptable and fill in the approach perf for your departure. So incase of Eng fail, you just need to activate secondary. And yes, fix info remains there until you manually clear it. I hope i answered your questions.
@rblauson5 жыл бұрын
Osama Abdel-Alim Hey Osama! Thanks for the response. I’m aware that the cyan line itself isn’t “ navable” but if you lose an engine on TO you need a method to climb straight out ( assuming the runway does not have a special eng out procedure). So for 14.2 nm you are protected straight out on the departure rwy centerline 2000’ either side of it. In the case black box used - if you lose the engine at v1 you’d stabilize the airplane by - centering the blue target, climb to pitch to 12.5 degrees, and I think ( in the case of airbus) you’d simply pull the heading knob out and attempt to fly right over the top of the cyan dashed line. My biggest question is this - exactly how do you keep that cyan line visible on your pfd during take off so you’ll have it visible if you lose an eng at v1?
@osamaIK5 жыл бұрын
@@rblauson the fix info line "Radial" inserted will always show in the ND as long as the fix you chose is in view and it hasn't been manually deleted. But it will NOT show on your PFD. Usually you will pull heading to climb straight ahead , but you won't change the heading to try and catch the cyan line at all as that will be considered a turn. Until you clear your EO SID specified height for a turn or you pass 1000FT AFE for standard EOSID. Then you can follow eosid, runway heading, etc

Osama Abdel-Alim Excellent ! Thank you and that all makes sense to me. This black box guy has some really good videos

@@rblauson No worries, I think he has 2 different flights, thats why the blue cyan line wasn't showing on TO Roll. During roll time was 12UTC on the Clock, then at 10,000 FT time is 0923 UTC, also confirmed on the MCDU ;)

Great to have new info! Much appreciated! I have a question. Would it be possible to make a video on the right procedure when getting a TCAS warning? I admit I feel lost at that point.
@prasanthtadiparthy48966 жыл бұрын
When you hear the TCAS, 1. AP off ( I guess) 2. FDs off Listen to TCAS's Instructions Climb or descend 3.when you hear clear of conflict. 4. Inform ATC about traffic. 5. FDs ON again and come back to your crossing Flight Level. ( May contain wrong information )

two questions: Do you actually have time to put in the engine out track, especially with very short turnarounds? Also do you routinely use the secondary flight plan for enroute alternates or destination alternates?
@Blackbox7117 жыл бұрын
+Avantime .. yes, an experienced airline pilot will programme the FMC within 5 minutes, including SEC FPLN quick return and engine out track. Personally I used the SEC FPLN for quick return and destination preparation with multiple runways. Regards

Great content. One question: what is abeam func used for on the fix info page? Thx in advance.
@Blackbox7113 жыл бұрын
Hi. That is presently not working. But it would draw a perpendicular line to the current flightplan lateral path, so that you get an indication of the point where the entered fix is abeam.

@@Blackbox711 thanks a lot sir! Now I got the idea:) maybe a little off the topic but I have one more question: in fslabs after take off with 1+f config the flaps are automatically retracted (if no pilot action undertaken) and slats not just like in real aircraft. But in fslabs after retraction with slats still extended if pilot takes still no further action the aircraft goes into overspeed. I suppose something is missing there. Is there no overspd prot in this config? Thank you for your time and wish you a pleasant 2021 sir!
@Blackbox7113 жыл бұрын
Hi. There is no automatic retraction for the slats. Only for the flaps. That is also the case in the real aircraft.
@zerosopviolations3 жыл бұрын
@@Blackbox711 yes sir thank you for your answer but my question is about shouldnt the aircraft hold the spd and not go into overspeed at this situation (flaps up slats down)?

TV FLIGHT it’s not an update it’s a new sim. It’s like going from NFL 17 to 18 or FIFA 17 to 18. I.e you have to pay
@tvflight78587 жыл бұрын
Well, that's... ridiculous. I already paid for the sim, including physic, airports, textures, and planes, and now, I need to pay next, or even more, for exactly the same thing, but with just a bit better optimalization, meaning 5 to 10 FPS more. NEVER!
