A weird bug in P3D

@@Blackbox711 I see, well I am stuck with 4.5 and find that one great with ORBX scenery all over the world, but it eats memory and GPU power which makes me think about changing to MSFS 2024 instead. It seems like P3D are stuck in serious problems

@ P3D for now seems to be stuck and no word about any upcoming updates. MSFS2024 however is still a mess as of end of 2024. So not sure what improvements you would hope for ?

I use it almost everytime I use a flightsim using different aircraft hardware addons for the thrust levers etc. So for me I like it a lot.

That’s the problem with MSFS2024. Really frustrating that it all depends on how well textures are downloaded.

They had to get their foot in the door of MSFS. Using an existing and proven addon makes sense. I wonder sometimes if some people just have zero idea on how much time and money a completely new addon takes to get it to a high fidelity level? Next is the A321 NEO and who knows what comes then. Isn’t it a fantastic time to be in flight simming? So many greatbaddons to choose from.

@@Blackbox711 The thing is that FSLabs wasted almost the entirety of MSFS 2020's lifespan of 4 years in order to push a product out, and at first dismissing MSFS as they focused on the Concorde for P3D. Then Fenix claimed the market for the A320 with code licensed from ProSim, and then the A319/A321. The FSLabs A321 (the IRL narrowbody sales trend leader) should've came out before the Fenix A321. Now that people are committed to the Fenix plus iniBuilds with the default A321neo for MSFS 2024, FSLabs now has a much harder time selling the A321neo/variants.

I have decided to take a step back from commenting on what addon is better. Just watch VODs of different addons and make a choice yourself.

Did you have a longer lag in the sim?

@Blackbox711 Good morning, I meant to say the FMGCU (one) was inop, not into. No Sir, no lag that I could perceive or be aware of. I have experienced the sim freezing for approximately 10 seconds on occasion... intermittently. I have read in the FSlabs forums that others have reported same/similar. I'm not sure if that might be what you were referring to by a longer lag?. Thank you much for responding to my inquiry 🎁

I have had the lag issue on a second harddrive and think it could be either a faulty DirectX or some addon causing the issue. Are you using Winwing SimAppPro by any chance?

Another question is, are you using FSUIPC or Volants Autosave?

Both are high quality addons. In my opinion sounds are better in the FENIX, textures a little bit better, but flightmodel is better in FSLabs. Also FSLabs has some new features like persistent technical state saving and technical logbook in the EFB. Also Icing is simulated to have an effect on the aircraft, same for mishandling.

If you apply full right tiller and right toe brake yes but irl it may of skidded due to the icy runway

Thanks to the terrible ground friction and inertia simulation of MSFS there is no nose wheel skidding simulated.

Yep, again FSLabs is almost identical to FENIX.

Has to do with the messed up ground friction in MSFS. Maybe counter this by adjusting the ruder axis sensitivity.

I tried 4x and the jump ahead function. Worked fine.

Well if you want a cabin simulator there is a dedicated software for that.

There are people that care more for visuals and there are people who care more about system fidelity and flight model.

Off? Hm I am very visuals-focused and it looks good. The seats and headrests should have a bit more polygons and I absolutely don´t like how the left and right radio panel have the exact same wear and tear scratches and backlight-bleed mirrored on both the pilot and copilot radio panel (VHF1 VHF2 green arrows button and VHF3 button) which I hope will either get fixed before release, or can be modded into a brandnew looking radio panel - but otherwise it´s a beautiful Airbus. And the most important thing is it represents the authentic original authentic version with yellow-illuminated radio volume knobs panel, cargo room heating and original 2005 ISI (with square-shaped ADI). The last step to perfection of this wonderful Airbus would be an authentic GNADIRS with ADIRU-display function on the overhead panel and backlit circuit breaker board behind the copilot seat... :)

There is a possibility to tweak that. But from what I hear it isn’t consistent over different airport addons. Best thing is to adjust rudder axis sensitivity to help reduce the yaw.

I suggest you use the settings recommended in the introduction manual. Since I use the Warthog stick I use standard curves for elevator and aileron with a 1% deadzone.

Best way is to look in the FSLabs forum and open a support ticket.

You need to open a support ticket with FSLabs through their website.

It has a simulated discharged EFB. Turn on aircraft power and wait 10 minutes. Then hold the home button on the EFB for 5 seconds and it should turn on. The EFB will still work on the external Browser.

I can only imagine that some people don’t have the amount of free time to do a 10 hour longrange flight without time acceleration, but love longrange flights.

Tested by another streamer it still reverts to heading in the hold.

simmers seem to easily stop supporting devs FOR STHE STRANGEST of reasons. These are pc aircraft that has never been better ever in simming history, but you seem to drop a dev because of ONE issue. Real life pilots deal with the unexpected and so should you be able to...... simmers seem to desire realism in one aspect, and completely the opposite in other aspects? Anyway, this dev has probable created the most authentic and deep simulation of the airbus we have ever seen. but let's drop them because of one (supposed) issue that still needs to be fixed

I am in the community since 20 years and have and had almost all the so called "study level" aircrafts. To fly correct holding patterns is my claim on such an aircraft and developer

Hi. It will first release for MSFS2020. Once Asobo fixes the SDK in MSFS2024 the FSLabs will be available for MSFS2024 as well.

Hi. Thank you. Yes, there are menu options where you can change the rate of faults/failures happening as well as the intensity. You can even switch off failures from happening completely. That means you can fly for example on a VATSIM event and not have to worry about any failure happening that would force you to land at the next airport. Happy landings

Hi. Yes, still using the A320 Setup from Flightsimfactory and very happy with it. I am currently trying to get my hands on V3 of that set to see how much it has improved. Looks great from the pictures.

I mentioned it in the stream that the FSlabs comes with new features like technical state persistence including a technical log that automatically gives you some day to day smaller issues that you have to integrate into your flight. Then it matters how you treat your aircraft since it affects the airframe and how fast the wear and tear progresses. Lots of effects like vapor trails, visual icing, st. elmos fire are already integrated. The flight model is better compared to the FENIX and more. But having written that I can’t speak for everyone since the personal preferences differ. So I accept your opinion that you are not seeing anything that is better compared to the FENIX. Personally I do.

Hey. Thank you 🙏. The home simulator setup is from Monstertech called MTS Flight. The seat is an addition you can order there as well. But as a word of caution, the setup is not cheap.
