That is a kick good enough to knock nearly anyone on their back, and if they don't fall down, they'll fall on their knees. Considering Gundyr's size and if a Pygmy like the player is actually a normal human size, a kick like that will do everything short of cleanly taking your head off. Also it really is not the right posture for your idea, as good as it is.

I'm pretty sure fire did not befit her here. And technically I doubt she was in blackflame form when she got defeated in lore that must have come after her meet with father ariendel when she fled to the painting. But that's if you think she got to soul of cinder by doing what we did. Getting to the soul of cinder requires the death of all the Lord's, but I doubt friede did that, with them being alive and all, when we arrive. She must have found a way to skip all that and try to fight soul of cinder under leveled. That's like if you fight dancer on your first playthrough at the beginning of the game, you will go hollow irl.

I love how in the first round, Friede is capable of evading almost all of the Soul of Cinder’s attacks, and then when SOC enters his second phase Friede gets hit almost all the time by Gwyn’s greatsword, as if she isn’t used to fighting a god.

If you think about it, Soul of Cinder is the ultimate antithesis to Friede. He’s a combination of not only the player, who has beaten her several thousand times before, and Gwyn, who started the Age of Fire to begin with. The very cycle Friede and Ariandel sought to escape.

The player had NOT beaten her. (Meaning in the soul of cinder) Because friede was not even alive during dark souls 1 and I guess 2. Hell even if she was, she would probably be inside the painting, but that's not the case because father ariendel does not exist yet or is yet to access the painting himself. SoC doesn't have the knowledge of the ashen ones abilities, but has the knowledge and experience of the bearer of the curse and The chosen undead along with the Lord's of cinder who sacrificed themselves.
