Interesting fact: the dragon by the park entrance is actually a remnant of a past attraction! From 1991 up until 2016 there was a land called Fantasyland where Underwater Kingdom is now, which was home to three attractions, one being the Angry Dragon, a red animatronic dragon that would come out from behind some castle turrets. The dragon was repainted purple and placed where it is now for the 2020 season! :)

Wow - so many of those exhibits were part of my childhood 45 years ago. I remember crawling through the hole in "Hells Mouth" in about 1978 and wearing my cowboy hat and interacting with those same manaquins. Shame to see Smugglers cave has been redone into the underwater thing as that told part of the Chine's original Pirate history. Also looks like the real tanks and armoured vehicles have gone. Have got so many memories of actually climbing and sitting on the original fiberglass Dinosaurs.

This vlog brought back so many childhood memories of visiting blackgang! I can just about remember being able to go down onto the beach. They used to have a nursery rhyme land & also a hedge maze as well.

Hey Shawn, Thank you for all of your epic Tpww and Adventure Shawn vlogs, they've been so amazing and enjoyed every minute of them going along these virtual adventures with both you and Charlotte. As for this vlog I vaguely remember something about visiting this really cool unique park on my family vacation when I was a kid back in the late 80's its barely recognisable with so many changes new additions, especially with all the themeing aspects as well that enhanced it more. oh that huge whale I think it's called a humpback whale lol, Stay Safe

This was a staple on my family holiday's to the IoW as a kid (I'm from the New Forest so we went every year or two). Back in the 80s there wasn't much more than the maze, some dinosaurs and cowboy thing, and some smuggler stuff.

Ah I'm sad the coaster is closing. I wonder if they'll get another? We went a week or two ago & didn't realise it was going to be our last time on Cliff Hanger. The drop tower is actually a really fun drop tower - Would definitely rather ride this one than Croc Drop for example. Great views from the top of it too! The magic carpet is a bit of a nothingburger though, even for smaller kids.

Blackgang Chine has changed an awful lot since I went as a kid about 1980. Then the road was the cliff side of what is now the park and the Chine was on the cliffs. It was best then done at night when the lights on the chine brought it to life. Mind whilst very different it looks great as it is now.

I used to go there in the 70s/80s when I was a VERY tiny child and remember that there was a maze close to the entrance. We regularly got lost in it. I vaguely recall walking through a whalebone arch too, but could be confusing that with Whitby. I'd love to go back one day though!

Thank you for sharing and uploading another fantastic video. Visited the Isle of Wight long time ago, knew about Blackgang Chine, but never visited, never fully knew what it was like. So thank you for showing whats there. Love the rollercoaster, think there could be a rollercoaster put somewhere in the Dino area? Also, think maybe Cowboy town could have a wooden coaster? Where you stated, was thinking and asking if it could fit near the cliff? Just looked on Google Maps at the space, could probs get a nice sized one in there, maybe same size as Scenic Railway at Margate? Or junior coaster at Blackpool pleasure beach? Would be good if they had more rides put down there especially more themed coasters, attract more tourists to the park? But yeah, apart from that its different, which is what I like. Cheers again for uploading, look forward to watching "The Needles" now. Got that song in my head lol. Maybe could create a song for charity? Just a suggestion? 🤔🤔🤔🤔😀👍

Whilst not a theme park, I went to The War of the Worlds immersive experience in London last week, and it is incredible, words cannot describe it, and it is worth every penny. If you get a chance definately go, but do so before the covid restrictions are lifted because at the moment only a maximum of 8 people at a time are allowed instead of the usual 16.
