Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers Part 4 - they better introduce e and the square root of 2 as well. Large update with a whole new area has been added, though it's not exactly how I hoped it was implemented. Wow I can't wait for the full game to come out.

Card Shark, to be even more explanatory, is halfway between a visual novel and a game with a nonsensical plot. You start as a person who has a surprisingly good sleight of hand and you help the Comte, who is helping some resistance effort by gathering info under the guise of cheating card games. Then, for some reason, you are related to the person you will need to screw over with a rigged card game. All the while, you do nothing but quick timed events to help the Comte cheat at cards. It is very disappointing.

@@lycanthewerewolf6801some children’s problem I saw once was asking the student to calculate the volume of a cylinder, and it supplied the value for the height, radius… AND Pi, which was 10. My only guess at understanding why is that they had not yet taught the students about the value of pi or the concept of decimal numbers somehow. But even then telling them its value was 3 would have been better.

Tyler, did you know that you can click on your opponent's graveyard (tombstone) card to activate its effect. This way you can lower the opponents score after they stand.

I feel like rather than a set number an NPC stands at, it should be a bust probability they stand at. This game doesn't really make sense with just a value to stand at, what with all the fancy cards. Tends to make them bust a lot lol

They stand at 17 cause those are the rules for the dealer in blackjack So its treating them as if they were the dealer

The rules of blackjack also say that you only play with the 52 cards in a normal deck of cards (maybe the jokers). When so much of the game has altered, it only makes sense for the opponents to play within the new rules. Changing their stand point would also be useful to make the game more challenging.

3:00 I'm not very up to speed on Black Jack strategy as I'm more of a Hold Em enthusiast. However, my wife is online black jack dealer and people get FURIOUS if anyone hits after 15, especially if they draw a face card that would have made the dealer bust. I'm sure there's a mathematically correct answer but I can't help but feel the gambler's are more emotional than logical. I can't stand them.

You are correct on both counts. In any given situation, there is a mathematically optimal way to play your hand. If you look up perfect basic strategy for blackjack, you can find the charts easily. The charts have slight differences depending on house rules and number of decks in play, and there can also be deviations depending on what cards have already been dealt (which is one of the reasons why card counting can work to the player's benefit). Also compulsive gamblers are insane and will blame literally anyone but themselves for their losses
