Yes because no computers built in hdmi supports video in. It only does video out

I want to connect my BlackMagic camera with the SDI to Hdmi converter for live streaming, will that work?

@@AJaytheCEO how would I go about doing that. Do I need to download any software for my BlackMagic URSA mini 4K EF and the converter together? What does my camera need to be set too?

You only need to have the Ursa set to Resolution supported by the capture card you have on your computer and then the converter just changes the sdi to hdmi. No software is really needed

Brother ,what if i use a hdmi to usb wire and connect it to the laptop will i still need a capture card for obs?
