While the car sounds in Forza Horizon 5 are good, driving around is really depressing. It really feels like you're driving in an wasteland. Meanwhile, FH4 has bad car sounds but driving in that game is awesome. You have Edinburgh, you have the small villages around the map, you have the beach, you have the amazing Scottish countryside and the game has some amazing landscapes. I love driving around just admiring the landscape. If Forza Horizon 4 had Horizon 5's car sounds, I would never play FH5 again in my life.

What I find interesting about racing games after they no longer receive updates and new content is that the car list essentially becomes a time capsule as you won’t see cars like the Mercedes AMG ONE or the newest BMW M3 in FH4 as they are featured in FH5. With no more new content, the cars that are in FH4 basically represents the car industry from the 1920s with the 1924 Austin Seven, to 2020 with the newest car added, the 2020 Corvette. If you look at FH1 for example, you’ll only see cars up to around 2013 when the game got delisted. FH1 essentially became a time capsule for cars from the past to the 2013 model year. It’s also a great way to drive cars that may not be available on newer games due to licensing issues, like the Top Gear vehicles in FH4, if Playground Games chooses not renew the license with the BBC.

That's personally what i love the most about those older games. Is specifically the exclusives, which is the main reason i'm okay with not letting every car get moved onto the next series since it gives me a reason to hang unto the older titles. For FH1, it would be the SSC & RUF for me. FH2 = SLR McLaren. FH3 = Rolls-Royce & Tesla. FH4 = European Exclusives Etc + One Off's like the Final Fantasy & Cyberpunk 2077 vehicles. And so on.....

Btw the most rare and imposible to get in FH4 is Regalia Quartz, a Final Fantasy car. There's no way you can get it these days, ecept the D Type but is one and only way, and its by the Quartz masteries that you get the D Type. Ironic because the rewards that let you get to buy season cars you can get the Cyberpunk 2077 car, but neither Quartz, neither D Type are available, and surely won't be for auction and if will be, it'll be the most expensive with 20M

i had FH4 on xbox game pass, (i havent touched my xbox in months), and I checked my xbox messages to find a key for the game (due to delisting), so I redeemed it on my PC, and I fell in love with this game for the 3rd time. Absolutely amazing game (maybe that's biased coming from someone that loves the UK as much as myself), but truly, a very good game. (not to mention the fact that I got to see it in a new light, because I didn't play online before!!)

I remember when FH4 was around, there wasn’t that much love for it back then, people were tired of snow, pretty much nothing to do other than businesses, I feel like FH4 got really successful over the last 2 years because they got a chance to market themselves to the non car enthusiast players as well, with game pass, unique collaborations, graphics etc… they got a chance to show the game to a player base who doesn’t even care about cars like that. I have some friends who doesn’t even care about cars or racing but they play FH4, they didn’t even know the fact that FH5 existed, when they hear racing game they immediately think of FH4.

The Toyota Chaser is available tomorrow in FH5 on the festival playlist. It looks like there is a wide body kit available, along with the racing 2JZ swap. Sad that FH4 is being delisted with no more new content, as the Chaser would have been great in FH4.

One of the issues with the FH5 map is because many racing games (NFS cough) were set in the USA (desert) and scenery is a lot alike so that's why it's nothing new and kinda gets somewhat boring quickly.

i dont think its the best driving sim, its not fully hardcore like iracing, acc or raceroom but it is the most fun in that "sim racing" category you can just lay back and have fun without worrying about rankings or positions like other games, i do think in leans more into arcade but its far more realistic than horizon

Honestly the scenery pops out, it feels like on NFS2015 really got the cityscapes right, this scenery is way better otherwise. Also, there's something about the camera & the cars, the angled look, this game just looks flawless, something out of PS2 era where it's a 100% experience. It looks iconic. I don't even play Forza

They should atleast allow to transfer a players FH5 cars to their FH6 garage, Crew2 lets you transfer your cars to Crew Motorsport garage. It's a good feature, otherwise what's the point of thousands of hours of grinding in a game? If everything is taken away from a gamer eventually

Yeah FH4 might better than FH5. But in my mind the the best Horizons I play is FH1 and FH3. Fh1 is the OG while FH3 is just Aussie perfection, it has stuff like mapmarkers and wheelspins creeping in but has the best DLC and still looks brand new to this day :)

I think i will recommend people to buy FH4 you can play this game at high settings on 10W mode on the ROG ally and still getting above 60 fps. So it's a great racing game on the go. Optimization is key in this game. Other stuff is like the location you mention. UK is kinda unique location for a racing game.

It still looks great (as all Horizon games do), it runs great even on weaker systems (because it was built for XBox One which it 10+ years old hardware), it feels great with any skill level (it can be completely arcade or very challenging), it has lots of content (thanks to years of support) and it doesn't cost $70-100 - of course it is popular. Bought it on XBox when it came out, and bought it again on Steam during sales despite having it on PC anyway due to Play Anywhere. Worth every cent.

I feel like your point on them rinsing people who’ve paid to play on gamepass only to pay for it cause of it delisting isn’t very strong. I doubt people are paying month over month for it. They’re probs buying multiple months worth at a discount, whilst getting other benefits (other games and gold ofc if they want to play online at all which imo it’s crazy that paid online is still a thing on console). Plus, it depends on the game but if you own a dlc in FH they’ll usually gift you the ultimate edition anyway if it’s getting delisted soon. Also the games at a massive discount it’s not like they’re paying full price anyway. For me it was perfect cause I played it as well as a bunch of other games on gamepass when I had it years ago (I got two years and a bit for a fraction of the cost) and being able to return for super cheap was a no brainer cause I don’t buy Forza games at full price. I hate subscriptions and I like owning games but gamepass and is a crazy deal.

Horizon 4 blew up when it first arrived to steam. People learned about Forza Horizon. So Horizon 5 blew up as it was released during the pandemic. Game was discounted many times so that's the main reason. I would assume Horizon 6 won't sell as much as 5 due to being next gen only. And we're not in a pandemic anymore + steam already knows about the game. I can already see people yapping about it not selling as much. Unless they release on ps5 too. Which is not unlikely.

It's not, the vast majority of high end cars you'll see on UK roads are GT and saloon cars. In London you'll see supercars but they're flown here so rich saudis can drive them around for a month. McLaren is the only true supercar company in the country at the moment. The rest build luxury cars and SUVs.
