i think there needs to be a discussion in kpop of what they mean by an artist? if the same old excuse of the dance being too complex and tiring to sing live keeps coming up , they shouldn't be in the same spaces as artists who are singers first and don't dance. entertainment is of course entertainment. but the artist is not growing by not prioritising their vocals in a performance.why should we listen to a loud backtrack? being an 8 year old artist, she should be able to identify her audience by now.

It’s ironic that non-K-pop fans accuse her of lip-syncing when what they actually saw was Lisa not lip-syncing. Artists for decades have augmented live performances with backing tracks. K-pop does this more than some western artists, but in either case it’s common. In Lisa’s case she was singing the verses and using backing vocals on the chorus (while she was vigorously dancing). She doesn’t pretend to sing during these breaks which is why I say she was pointedly not lip-syncing.

i really have big respect for her now even more she sang most of the time but for other parts like end words that it’s clear a rapper and dancer will not vocalizing same as studio version like word -woman - , she didn’t lie by saying the word without vocal while she is mostly performer (dancer) and rapper ….. she is also proved more in terms of vocal this year she surprised me 3 times with her singing ability….. if you say she is lip syncing then you are not true kpop fan because she is the only idol that have a balance in performing , dancing , facial expressions, vocal and rapping she really indeed do everything at the same time so perfectly .... and it’s her style and i like it a lot
