If watching the ‘Reds’, go to Uncle Tom’s Cabin or the pleasure beach. You get the display edge where Syncro start the run in. Also ‘Reds’ going out to Edinburgh at 4.20 for a flypast then back to Bpool for 5.30. Dash along the prom?

We have merlin passes and the kids start getting bored during the airshow so we always book to go up the tower and watch some from the top. We also book for sea life and madame Tussauds in the morning to get there early for parking 😊

Great video. I was totally shocked last year how busy it was. I didnt know the show was on and parked at the North end away from the action. I was total unaware what I was going to walk into. WOW. What a great day and the weather was perfect. Blackpool at its best. Hoping the weathers good for you in Blackpool. Ill be watching your channel to be updated.

my mum had a caravan on a caravan park (now housing) on Cropper Rd (nicknamed 'crapper road' because of all the horse poop) where she spent four months every summer. ( 53°47'3.72"N 2°59'29.83"W) spent the night there one time. woke up absolutely barking with a mad cough - forgetting my mothers rule of 'start the day with a dozen cigs before breakfast'. it was like waking up at a rave in someones flat and they'd hired a smoke machine and not turned it off and it had been running all night. and the sunlight shining down on the windows lit the haze up. first things first, grab dressing gown and slippers and open the damned door and go for a pee in the toilet/shower block. by the time I got back, the fresh air had all but evicted most of the tobacco smoke as the last few whisps crept through the door, the resident bunny rabbits coughing... because my mums friend - a woman who managed to make my mum look like a non-smoker, had also awoken and her caravan door was opened... and I swear, if you didn't know it was cigarette smoke, you'd swear her caravan was on fire. likewise, the birds and rabbits coughed their lungs up. she made it worse by only eating steamed veg - if any one person could make it look like they were responsible for electing a new pope, she was it. (funny how both of them died from smoking induced lung cancer and other cancers brought about as a contributory factor to their demise) that one woman was responsible for my appreciation of steaming food - which I still do. well, the reason my mums caravan was where it was was because of the red arrows - she had a great view of them if she sat outside. she never had to physically go out of her way to watch some of the airshow. she hated being stuck in a crowd. and at the time, Woodford airshow at the other side of town, was not only a pain to get to on airshow day, but getting back would be just as bad. not a bad area of town - but it was regarded as being posh and my mum wasn't in the mood for people who thought they were above others. anyway - yeah, the caravan - perfectly pitched for the airshow.

There was a time not so long ago when we used to drive out to Blackpool with my family you could park anywhere without having to pay and display. the greedy Blackpool council keeps putting double yellow lines everywhere so I'm gonna miss this yrs 2023 airshow
