I find it amazing, only the eccentic British could hunt and find mostly non hit, rare records, from all over the world, doomed to obscurity, then folks coming along to hear em and dancing the way they do to em. And after 50 years plus. You aint gotta be a brill dancer, I have 2 wonderful left feet lol come join us, events all over the country. Ignore the trolls on here, they creep out of sewers to destroy, how sad is that...great video xxx

All music is allowed to us by those who issue the licences; it's why pirate radio ships were sunk by the Navy. The original Northern scene was unsanctioned not backed by merch, no alcohol was sold at venues, which took place usually in the wee small hours. It had to be banned. It is only now that it is fully backed and sanctioned, allowing huge sums of money to be made from it that we are allowed to re-enjoy it.

@@captsmith1912 Very serious, Jill was told I was near to death, twice. I had a blood clot in my large intestine of which most had to be removed. The operation went well, however, a faulty NG tube was used while in theatre. This was meant to remove fluid from my stomach but because of the faulty devise the 3 litres of fluid ended up in my lungs which caused pneumonia, then sepsis, twice. Then another 2 weeks in hospital with a blood clot on my lungs. My local GP suggested I don't go out as I'm prone to infections & is concerned I don't get sepsis again. I'm now glad I'm alive as at one time I WANTED to die. I've got used to the Stoma bag now. Serious, I started feeling ill & within hours I had been operated on to save my life. I'M STILL HERE, LOL, but I've now got a different outlook on life, for the better ;-)

378.000+ viewers cant be wrong. The singers will fade and die but the music lingers forever. Imagine a "smack mi bitch up" piece of rap being played in 50 years from now. But Northern soul will still be heard long after its current followers are long gone. My 22 year old Son knew every word of the 3 before 8 when he was 10. KTF

The Brits were always supporters of African American Soul Music. They knew who The Funk Brothers were before any of us did. Sadly enough they were overlooked by the other musical genres of the 1960's. If you can check out ILMJXXX's Channel he has some amazing obscure performances.

They ain't a patch on the original dancers back in early 70s and some great dancers from 80s if you think these lot are any good then find proper footage from the smaller clubs over the years , not the casino as they tuned all the lights on and you was left with folks that thought they was good but wasn't, the real dancers where all in mrms I know as I was there , these lot have stolen northern soul from us and made it a laughing stock

@@mikemeehan96 no you got me wrong mate I didn't mean what it sounded like my fault , I just don't like these fancy dress events , I moved on years ago as northern soul music kept evolving I go to totally different events to these there are some very good dancers over the years and still are am more on the rare side and crossover with underplayed oldies as well a good mix , totally different to these oldies events like this one , btw I was in the casino the night the film crew came it was terrible no one wanted them there and most tried to fit in to mrms out the way of the camera's in those days we didn't want any attention we wanted to keep it u derground or it would end up commercial exactly what it's become and would end up full of plonkers in big trousers fancy dress trying to emulate what was in fashion back in early 70s that's not what n soul music is about we dress in normal today's fashion now still dance still enjoy the music but don't look like twats that know nothing about black 60s dance music , still nothing we can do about them , I won't go to such events but live and let live unfortunately lol lol
