Blackpool Pleasure Beach Summer Update 10/07/24

I fear for the Pleasure Beach. If that was quite busy, they have huge problems. Along with Ice Blast, Grand Prix, River Caves and Dodgems this year, add Monorail, Trauma Towers, Wild Mouse etc, etc and you start to wonder what they are doing.

It seems the park has quite alot of rides coming to the end of their lives at the same time...those bumber cars were on their last legs 5 year ago.

And yet the oldest ride is still working. Lack of maintenance maybe ?

That show/ride ticket booth was open last Saturday. It lasted a few hours before the shutters were back down. From memory, the only ride sign without the ticket number is Icon. Valhalla's sign, printed last year, does have the number of tickets box (was left blank, though) Think we all know the long-awaited part for Ice Blast is a bulldozer!

They have to clear areas before they can redevelop them, my guess is that a large area at the frunt of the park will be redeveloped. The electricity for the bumper cars might be connected to the cables for the Grand Prix.

Sad seeing it like this. Still has some great rides but for me, the atmosphere has just gone. Show & Ride, Interesting. It was a name they used many years ago for a combination book of tickets. Perhaps its just that, if you book or go to see Hot Ice, you get given ride tickets as well

Seems someone dont know how to run a park. All maintenance, changes of attraction should de done in winter, when the park is closed. Closed attractions will give the impression of poor management, exept for that an attraction occationally is closed due to technical issues. After seeng this video this is a park that i will never bother to visit.

Really hope they do ride tickets again. Last time i went pleasure beach was just over 2 years ago and i don't plan on going again any time soon, but i've been blackpool numerous times in the last 2 years and every time i'm there i think, i wish i could just buy tickets to go on a few rides. Cause i'd 100% go on one or 2 rides, but i'd never pay the gate price if i'm just in Blackpool for the day.

Hey i think this park is brill now ice blast isa stood there the dogam has gone but infusion is an old coster and the big one are old costers fhey should be took down this park had it days i would like to have all infusion seats in ny bed room and i will cleen them and take care of them steve

I like the park also it’s just a shame to see so many closed attractions and empty building around the park. Just doesnt give a good look/impression to paying customers.

Why? The UK is drastically lacking in world class thrill rides, at this point we maybe have 2 or 3 in the entire country (Hyperia, Nemesis, Megafobia). The vast majority of the 'thrill' rides we have are actually very family friendly. Icon is my favourite coaster in the country (haven't ridden hyperia yet) but I still acknowledge it's a family ride not a proper thrill ride

I was there on the 6th the 10 till 10 wqs a rubbish day big one didn’t operate all day infusion broke down numerous times fireworks were rubbish overall waste of money chesington by far a batter family day out this park is in a massive decline and till Amanda is replaced it will carry on going the same way she ain’t intrested in the customers opinion just money money money

Well big one didn’t operate because of the wind which the park obviously cant control the weather and the fireworks in my opinion have always been very lacklustre. I always tend to go on Grand National whilst that is one of the main attractions still open till 10pm.
