Stephen we have protests in Manchester at the moment, fighting has broke out, so please be very careful in Blackpool it doesn't take much for it to kick off. A beautiful day for the rebbellioneers to enjoy their get together. Free speech is one thing but the protest marches need to be curbed, the locals need to approve of permits before a protest gang are allowed to disrupt local peoples lives, especially a resort town in the busy season. Having worked in the media myself I am torn. You always give us a good overview of Blackpool, but I think if I were a film producer, I would wait until after the day had gone by before publishing this one. Let me explain. Any of the ne'r do wells intent on causing trouble, after watching this, will be aware of where the police are and their strength. Where the police reception is. Strategic planning can be gleaned from this film for ill purposes. It's a difficult one. Do we keep the people informed, or do we, in our haste to be first with the news, hold back until after the day has gone by., perhaps billing it as "This is how we prepared for trouble in Blackpool", and hopefully, as you think, there will be no trouble, in which case the film would still be of interest the day after. Even if there were to be trouble, it would still hold public interest merit the day after. I wish you well of course, and enjoy your filming. It's just that, watching this now, before expected troubles, I personally would have held back until tomorrow to publish it. It is sad that this is how we have become to think, I know. Project Fear goes from strength to strength in all its forms. And it can sometimes get in the way of creativity. The dilemma is, do we suppress the 'news' in favour of preventing unrest, or do we keep our people informed in real time. I am so glad I no longer work in the media.

Hi Stephen it's been horrendous in Hull city centre the riot police have really done there best but we have had shops set on fire and looted the Station hotel which houses the immigrants has had the windows smashed the so called protest had brought the town centre to a standstill the bus and train station has been closed since early afternoon it took me over four hours to get home it was very frightening there was bottles flying at the poor police it extended to spring bank, cars set on fire there and it's half nine now and it's still going on loved the video ❤
