The digger driver on the high reach is Jamie a top lad from oldham nobody can do demolition like he can ,he so gentle as he pulls the building apart sorting out wood brick metal

I presume it was all taken out before demolition but not 100% certain, especially gas pipes in case they still have gas in, I know they recycled the bricks 🧱

It's always a bit sad when a building comes down. A century ago and more, builders, architects and owners of St. Chad's watched proudly as their gleaming new, modern hotel opened..... I remember when our social club was closed, not too many years after we opened an extension, but then economy took a dive 😢. I was the proud Vice President, so much work, money and love in that building

Your coverage has been second to none. Brilliant! I did in fact come to Blackpool on Monday and was there filming a short while from the Prom while you must have been filming from St Chads Road as we have the same bits of action. My footage is not worth the memory it uses - dreadful distorted wind sound and poor focus. I actually thought I recognised you and accosted an innocent guy who'd stopped to take a photo. If it's possible could I save/download you coverage to watch again?

This guy wasn't hanging around, in the other videos i've seen they are picking at it, pulling out the joists and rafters and separating everything out. This guy was just "pull it down and sort it later..."

I'm a highreach operator and if I done a building like that he would sack me on the spot he had a selecter grab on as well to sort out the timber as well I wouldn't be the one to clean up😢

I know nothing about demolition but I think the speed was due to the amount of dust been created and the proximity to the open hotel next door (right behind me when I was filming), dust control was difficult so the quicker they got it down and got the dust to settle the better for the area and people on the promenade, sorting was done throughout that day by smaller machines if I remember rightly 😀 thankyou for watching 👍🏻⭐️

Once again, hands down, you have the best footage. In the perfect place, perfect timing, good camera control ( ,I'm assuming you're using a gimble ). The cridpness of the sound also helps, as well as you standing in a spot where no dust spols the view. Kudos

They were spraying water mate 🙂, the wind was coming inland from the sea so I was stood in a place where I wouldn’t be covered in dust and could get a clear view of the action, to the left of shot tho they had a generator and two water guns because the wind was blowing all the dust that way, hence the speed too, the quicker it’s down the quicker the dust will settle, thankyou for watching 👍🏻😀
