This is the perfect unity tutorial. You demonstrated what was written in the title without fluff, um-ing and uh-ing and long-winded explanations. It was concise, well-articulated, showed me EXCATLY what I had to do and how to do it with out any ambiguous or skipped steps. On top of that, you threw in some cool bonus stuff to try out. This should be the gold standard that all programming tutorials and how-tos follow. My hats off to you sir. And thank you very much for your great work.

@@Blackthornprod Just wanted to mention that you are definitely one of the best Unity tutorial makers on youtube. It's very helpful and very creative, showing different options and even tons of real game examples, which really helps getting ideas as well. Wow Blackthornprod, these techniques are amazing! I just want to let you know that the Instantiate and Destroy methods are very expensive for your memory, especially if you instantiate and destroy so many objects. In these cases is preferred to use an objects pool instead, knowing that more than N objects won't appear on the screen :)
@MarstonBoii Жыл бұрын
I know it is a bit late comment, but could you elaborate please? I'm new and I'm not sure what you are talking about, but I constantly instantiate and destroy objects.
@stesproject Жыл бұрын
@@MarstonBoii you just need to search for "object pooling" and you'll find a lot of information 🙂 is a programming pattern and if you use Unity it's essential. There are also game engines that don't need this "trick", like Godot. All depends on how the engine handles the system memory.
@MarstonBoii Жыл бұрын

Nice tutorial! I was looking into how to make good looking trail But but... instantiating and destroying object on every update like that.. wouldn't that be bad for FPS especially on mobile? I know I can use object pooling but having that many object on screen definitely would have effect on the draw call. .___. I might try it out tho. nice inspiration!
