love the idea! Definitly make it a series. Also the one you made in just an hour is absolutely insane for the time constraint

Absolutely insane. You got enemies to collide with each other within 10 minutes including everything else. That alone took me hours. The 1 hour version would take me like 2 days. The 1 day version would take me like 3 months. Multiple custom hand drawn creative enemies while I spent a month on a slime and a bat that I didn't even draw myself. Instead I followed a tutorial and still ended up with less in multiple weeks. Even including all the extra things I programmed in even more weeks.

It just shows the difference in how much experience he’s had versus you. He’s probably been a developer longer than you so of course he knows more than you, eventually you’ll be able to do the same thing as him and probably even better if you keep working at it!

10 minutes + 6 years of Unity engine game development experience. Suggestion: compare yourself to yourself, not someone else.

They've most likely drawn hundreds of characters. Once you've repeated something you get faster at it.

@@aarondcmedia9585 this. exactly this. this is also why people shouldn't think designs and art aren't worth X price just because it was done quickly. I made my channel logo in like 5 minutes but I have 7 years of photoshop experience behind it.

This is so Amazing, Seeing the difference between 10 Minutes, 1 Hour and 1 Day. The best moment in the video is where you add the JUICE to the game, what a difference before and after.

As an absolute sucker for rogue-likes, id love to see that last gane polished, with lots of different power ups and weapons and bosses, looks awesome dude!

@@kanethedev it certainly looks better with the post processing, but the amount of "polish" isn't impressive, anyone can tick a couple of checkboxes to enable some simple post processing

definitely would love to see you make card games! Making that much interactable UI in a short amount of time, as well as designing something interesting, will be a huge challenge!

Great idea for a series! Loved this one. My suggestion: RTS. Massively under-served genre that I think a lot of devs have trouble noodling around because it's kinda rigid. I'd love to see you guys' take on that. Thanks again :)

I think the 1 day version is really cool but it has a really big visibility problem with everything flying around. Maybe turning down opacity on particles that already exploded or making them a different colour entirely will help

10-30 minutes of a daily challenge is expensive in salary, but would be freaking amazing. I can't imagine it wouldn't be worth it.

Damn u could rly go a long way with this game, as u said, u could make more rooms and even different floors (biomes). U could make it co-op or 4 player, add a shop system with a shop keeper and different other npcs, the options are limitless.

Im making a top down shooter but I ran into a problem. How do I stop the enemies from ignoring their colliders? The enemies collide with everything except for other enemies.

What you could do with the time limits was awesome! I am especially impressed with your 1 hour version and how much better it is with just an extra 50 minutes.
