This Republican Rep. seemed to have made some points. Until the defendant spoke in turn. Mr Pearson was right to have apologized. Just as equally, his actions could be considered as necessary. Tell me this, fellow commentators: Imagine if you were to discover that a large majority of these "representatives" were, in fact, NOT concerned with representing the folks who voted for them, but did instead, EXACTLY what the folks who paid them, told them what to do? Let's imagine that those contributors were in the business that profits from gun sales? Would you not consider a PEACEFUL demonstration, alongside actual local citizens a reasonable approach when you are confronted once again with another school shooting?? Tell me, without bias, if at all possible, who should be in jail? The corrupt politicians who have sold out decades ago or the younger ones who obviously haven't?

This young man speaks in a " Preachers " tone - in a shuckin' and jivin' tone and at times eloquently. He and his fellow Democrats ( Both of them ) BROKE THE HOUSE RULES AND EACH OF THEM KNEW THAT THEY SHOULD NOT DO IT OR THERE MAY BE NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES FOR THEIR ACTIONS. Wanting to bring more attention to themselves is precisely why they did what they did. If they want to end school shootings / killings taking weapons away from law abiding citizens IS NOT the answer. Those who performed these senseless killings are almost all MENTALLY ILL and /or IN NEED OF PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP. If not with a gun then with a knife or a baseball bat or a car or a bomb - but - they need to be evaluated better while at school and heard by their classmates with an ear toward abnormal behavior if displayed. Have the school counselors be trained to pick up on " tells " for unusual or dangerous behavior and have them make records of those children as well as try to help them that bad behavior to acceptable behavior. Change the access points to only ONE and have armed security at each school. Having some staff members who are armed and able to take out any threats to the children at that school if needed. Have local police readily available IMMEDIATELY in case of any emergencies and also have them do routine drive bys at a minimum. GUNS DON'T SHOOT THEMSELVES. Get to work on legislation that will create safety barriers at schools - churches - bars and any other places where people are now " open targets " of the mentally unstable.
