One thing I've always appreciated about BVB's music is that it really gets the blood going. It fires you up and you feel like you can take on anything. Mix that with a few bong rips and a cup of coffee, and I could outfly an angel if I had wings. 2:38-3:11 makes me feel like I could fight a demon.

I think that the reasons that BVB was so hated back in the day was that: 1. They can definitely play their instruments 2. They kinda brought back what was lost in the 80's with the make up and clothes 3. Andy looks way better than their chin bearded asses 4. Im neither a BVB fan nor hater, nor a ''chin bearded ass'' but i have to say that they didnt brought back the make up. Almost all black metal bands wear corpse paint and they brought it back in the late 90's. The majority of the bands who are famous can play their instruments xd . Thats the main reason they are famous. I dont see anything special about how they play. Back then every emo/metalcore band was hated. It was not only BVB, simply because death metal was big. In fact the extreme genres were mainstream. Emo and metalcore didnt have almost nothing in common. It was not manly enough in some way. Other reason is that the metalcore/emo bands were mostly teens and everyone knows that adults dont like the music teens listen to. Nowadays, this is seen to. 5 has no sense.

Bvb always felt like a guilty pleasure even though I only ever liked a handful of their songs, but this one will absolutely never get old. The instrumental jams are so fire, and the way the vocals match the vibe makes me question why I was ever even embarrassed. I came back here after 10 years... I'm 24 now. And as I sit here drinking my jameson margaritas I recall my past. Black Veil Brides helped young me have the confidence to stand up and fight to survive against all odds. I felt that was the message they instilled in me at that young impressionable age.
