It's because of their look (metalheads hate emo looking people) and their fanbase (most made by teen girls crying for Andy). Also, they are not that original: they are heavily inspired by classic metal bands and by Avenged Sevenfold so a lot of people hate on them claiming plagiarism exc. Anyway, I love BvB, especially Wretched and Devine. Andy has got a beautiful voice and instrumentals are very technical and hard to play. Man I remember this was my first BVB song, when my sister asked if it was okay listening to this type of music to my mom (mind I was a little kid and in the other room) and when I heard the first notes of the song, I fell in love. This was the discovery of a new side of me pop music couldn't provide, and even now, as a highschool senior, I still listen to them and knowing everything will be okay.

I really don't think it's yours to decide who can play guitar, drums and bass and those who can't, personally I've been playing guitar for 10 years. I do not dress like those guys but I really enjoy their music and I have nothing against their interest of clothing what so ever. Also, those called "haters" may well be doing something big with their lifes. The word "hater" is way overrated and should not be used in my opinion. Don't waste your time defending music genres and don't waste your time saying bad things about certain genres. So in the end, there will always be a "war" between angry fans when it comes to discussing good and bad music. It ain't worth it. I'm not a hater but I'm not a fan either. I just like to turn this on once in a while.
