Love the meadow Valley course, especially the back 9. When they host the US open it is a combo course using holes from river and meadow valley. They use the back 9 from meadow valley.

You guys get to play some of the greatest courses and areas in the USA. Next trip has got to be on the sunset side of Lake Michigan all along the west coast of Michigan. There are just as many if not more phenomenal courses in Michigan and if you get the chance and can some how swing it, please play "Crystal Downs" golf course in Frankfort MI, which has been ranked in the top 10 in the world for many decades. The new course nearby in Arcadia Michigan is called "Arcadia Bluffs" also ranked one of the top newer courses in the world. These and many others in northwest Michigan are just outstanding golf course.

My foursome just booked our trip to play Meadow Valley, the Irish course, the River course, and the last day the Straights course. I was looking at the hole by hole flyover on their website and I knew I had see these holes before. Sure enough, searched Meadow Valley on your channel and there it was! Miss seeing Mike and the Big Cat.

I was the Club Tech in 98 for the LPGA and the Ladies all said it was a tough course. You played very well with the first time to play it and all the wind.

Wisconsin has 8-9 courses in the top 60 US public course rankings. It is one of the top golf destinations in the world. Fortunately I'm within 1-2 hours of all these courses. Downside is we lose 5 months of golf to winter.

They have some awesome courses ....... They have all 4 kohler course ..... Then they have Erin Hills ........and then ..... There is a place called Sentry World ...... And the owner of Bandon Dunes started building some courses here as well

There are some great courses here despite the short season. I didn't see any mention of Lawsonia and The Bull at Pinehurst Farms. Those are also good options, if you don't want to drop $200 to $500 plus on a round of golf. The Bull is a particularly tough course at 135 slope from the whites.

@@James_Vaughn Lawsonia is a great value. Not sure if there is a other top 50 public course in US that is under $100. I played both the Links 18 and Woodlands 18 with a cart for $100 this Spring. Links is a must play. Unique classic golf design architecture

As a mid/high hcp'r I learned my lesson at a Peter Dye course in Myrtle Beach, SC. Add their course difficulty to my having no familiarity with the course - utter disaster. I was impressed with how well you did using your ability to read the course to mitigate the evil of Mr. Dye 🤷‍♂️🏌️‍♀️👍

Luv ur channel! Educational, funny and helpful for a guy who plays like me. Great courses!!! Glad I was able to live n play around that area for years. You mentioned the PGA events and I was told from folks who’ve played there for years that the early tournaments were played on what they call the Champions Course?! Which is actually 9 from the other 2 courses. I volunteered for the 2012 Open - 100 degree weather the whole week- and was fortunate enough to be able to play that setup prior to the LPGA. Pete Dye courses are tough bordering terrifying. Trouble is all you see!!!! If you get back out there you have to play The Bull at Pinehurst farms. It’s a Nicklaus Designed course and is every bit as challenging as anything at Kohler. Was spoiled rotten living there with these sometimes very inexpensive Options for the locals.

Love that you guys made it up here to Wisconsin. Sand Valley and Sentry World are a couple other fun courses. Sentry is in my home town at the Sentry insurance world headquarters and sand Valley is only half an hour away

Matt, the first medal comp I won at my club involved me getting stung by a wasp on the 4th hole as I hit my 2nd shot. It got me in the chest near my heart mid shot ! I went on to win, think it was a performance enhancing wasp sting ! I've won a few more comps since without the need to be stung during the round ! Great course, looked in great condition

Welcome to Wisconsin! Outside of playing the big-name courses at Kohler, Erin Hills, Sand Valley, etc. I recommend playing the Links Course at Lawsonia in Green Lake, WI. Perennially listed as a top public course in the US, it's a throwback to the golden age of golf course architecture.

One hole you were 115 used pw, the next 106 used 54 degreee. One thing I’ve been working on a lot is hitting knock down wedge shots as opposed to full wedges. So how do you decide when to use less club or take a full swing with a wedge?

AGA Tour went up their in 2008. Stayed at the American Club. When we finished Meadow Valley and went to the bar to eat lunch before playing the River course. Wall-eye fish sandwich was awesome. But who was in the bar? Mr. Kohler and Pete Dye. Had Mr. Dye sign my card. Told Mr. Dye, "it was the best worst round of my life. Thanks for ruining my day."

I do love the vibe at sand valley. Walk out of your room onto the course. Everyone there is there for the golf as it isn't a 4-5 star resort and spa. Fun par 3 course. 2 great championship courses. 1 dollar tacos at the turn, cheap beers.

A bee will never sting you unless you threaten it. I have had bees and dragonflies land on me and I actually moved my arm up to my face so I could see the creature up close. I have never been stung or bitten by either of these.
