Damn , watching this made my heart hurt , it reminded me of my first days of rc helicopters back in 2010, worked on a SIM for a year then was confident I could fly the real thing , bought a exceed blue ray 450 , took it outside an hovered it for about two months , then I tried to do a simple circuit , needless to say it didn't end well for the poor little heli , but now in 2020 I'd say I've gotten a lot better still can't flip flop it like the pros but I can fly them like a scale helicopter , lots of fun just coast a shit ton to learn .... Good luck brother 😎👍

The canopy is hard to remove/replace because the hole for the grommet is oval. Make it circular. Also, the 230S out of the box is very tail heavy. You need to move the battery as far forward as possible and then add nose weight. If the wires are OK, a bent tailboom isn't a problem.

Great attitude after the crash and good video. CP is a different experience when you increase throttle the blade angle increases so there’s a bit of momentary drag. A bit gutsy to be flying in the street like that without full control of it. If you hit a car you’re liable for any damage.

Geez! You would think after all these years of blade being in business that they would have figured out the right plastic to use that won't just snap. And of course the tail boom should have been made out of carbon fiber. And also the canopy must not be actual lexan or it would not have blown a hole in itself like that. Next time you get snapped landing gear or something like that, you can slide a piece of heat shrink tubing over it before gluing The joint back together and then slide the heat shrink tubing up over the glue joint and shrink it. Adds a lot of extra strength

Lol I see you went out and got a 120s2 after the 230. Good move. You don’t give a 17 yo a Lamborghini after passing their driving test. The best first move into collective pitch is a nano s3. That heli is awesome. It’s light has little inertia. So when you let off it doesn’t drift too much. 230s is a great trainer but not first flyer. Also they upgraded the connector on the battery on the new 230s smart.

That's learning it the hard way. Always start tail in and hoover only. These helicopters in stability mode can handle more winds then bigger ones. Setting up a straight throttle curve for flightmode1 and 2 will give you more stable flight with constant headspeed. For a beginner, let the helicopter be closer and fly no higher than 2 persons high.

Yeah, heli flying is def challenging, getting and flying that little nano s2 indoors helped me get a little better with the controls and orientation. The 230 is great though and I’ve had a blast with it so far! Several tail booms, one landing skid, and one canopy later and more replacements to come I’m sure!
@lucasedgell23993 жыл бұрын
@@josephtiani6145 fixing is one of the greatest parts for sure! Also about the tail booms, you don’t need to buy a new boom every time it gets a dent. I’ve bent mine multiple times and just bending it back will do just fine. Since the tail runs off of a motor and not a torque tube or a belt, it does no harm to the Heli or overall performance.

Yeah, I cracked mine in that first crash which I was pretty bummed about. I have a new one but I just continue with that one knowing I’ll probably take another hard landing or two. I used a little hot glue on it to keep it from spreading open and that has held up okay.

@josephtiani61453 жыл бұрын
It depends on what part of the setup you are looking for. With this particular model I downloaded the transmitter file directly from the spektrem website and just downloaded it into me dx6e using sd card. If you are new and did not buy the ready to fly version, this will be the easiest way. If you buy the ready to fly it will include a radio that is already bound to the heli. That would be the beat route for beginners.
