Just discovered the blade bait last year and I love it. It’s also really good for summer schooling fish.

I found schools of crappie and bass by a dam 100s of fish deep and slayed them in July on a blade bait. Had 50-70 in a few hrs.
@FullTimeFishing Жыл бұрын
That’s awesome! You can also try it for bass that are a schooling at the surface believe it or not!

MegaBass Dyna Response is a great Blade bait & the amount of research in that bait shows even with one tie position.

Great stuff as always. Caught a fat striper on the Dirty D the other day using one of these. Now I have much better idea of retrieves to try. Thanks for this👍

One if the most informative blade bait videos out there. What are your favorite colors? Can you use them in the Delta during the winter?
@InformativeFisherman Жыл бұрын
I use them on the Delta in Feb/March. Crayfish and Shad are the only patterns I use, thanks bro!
@michael2one Жыл бұрын
@InformativeFisherman Totally makes sense. Especially when you bounce it off the bottom like a crayfish. Also less weeds then. You're a genius!

Thank you for the info. These blade baits are good for saugeye up here in Ohio

I'm REALLY enjoying your videos! Just trying to learn the blade techniques. So this is SO helpful! Hoping it is a good early spring lure. Roger The Smiling BassHole

I'll see how they do in Central Florida. Suppose to be 29' degrees here Saturday morning. Something tells me this might work during bitter cold when the shad start dropping like flies. Not to sure how it will perform in our eel grass lakes but ilyk

My go to wintertime bait! Specifically the Damiki Vault!
@markpaulson134624 күн бұрын
What rod do you use with those? Med? Med Heavy? I just picked up a couple of the Vaults.
@SMC411724 күн бұрын
@ depends on the weight of your bait ( 1/2oz-3/4oz ) I’ll typically use a 1/2oz so my set up will be a 7’1” medium/heavy fast or a 7’3” moderate… best to have a rod with a good parabolic bend through out the blank ( crank bait rod ) and a 7:1 reel to pick up slack quickly. 10-12lb test. The only line I use ( fresh and saltwater ) is Izorline xxx copolymer🏄🏼♂️🎣👍🏻

Great stuff… that a lure I never used yet… New Melones in a couple of weeks. What brand do you suggest? Using my #2 Stix pole

Sorry brother just now seeing this, I like the steel shad’s personally. #2 is a great choice!

My husband fish's with a Damiki and has found if you remove the back hook and put a #1 or #2 gold willow blade on and yo yo on tight line just like you said we have a lot of rock.

I mean the Megabass Dyna Response only has one hole and I I’m pretty sure they put A LOT of research into that puppy. It works great for me! I WOULD SAY it definitely excels on a retrieve style more than a bottom bouncing style…
@anthonyhill3771 Жыл бұрын
I wonder if they work in the summer? I never tried that
@InformativeFisherman10 ай бұрын
On rocky lakes they can but working them like a normal lipless in the summer months is better

Change the hardware for sure. Lots of blade baits have the bad snap swivels or hooks that easily bend out.
