This. is. AWESOME! Had this vibration problem all the time and tried many things, like a rubber band on the rotor head but this is the best fix yet. To everybody searching for a fix, THIS ONE WORKS LIKE A CHARM!

Good video. The dirt that you removed is actually mostly carbon powder residue produced from the gold plated contacts rubbing on the carbon strip, in the linear potentiometer. I have not had issues with mine and this maybe due to differences in manufactruring assembly of those particular servos.

Ok thats great !! Just cleaned servo with the oscillating pblm and its fixed .Will do the rest now . Its always the physical stuff that goes wrong in electronics , i should have known ! Thanx so much for your info . I used video head cleaner and a cotton bud . Left servo pcb attatched to main pcb . lots of carbon . all the best mate . Regards Shayne

Hi! First, Thank You for this video post it allowed me to identify and eliminate the source of my Blade mCX2's vibration. However, I took a simpler faster approach (30 seconds) after watching this video. Once I identified the offending servo I used a shot of Radio Shack Electronics Cleaner in the narrow area where you identify the dirt is uning the red spray straw. After this I immediately ran the heli and saw that the vibration was gone. Lastly, I used a can compressed air "duster" (with spray straw) in the same area to blow out any remaining dirt. My mCX2 works nicely now and I hope that you and others find this helpful. Bill

It seemed to work. I've done some other fixes at the same time so I am not sure if cleaning alone helped, but my servos were dirty and I did clean them. Thanks

the blackening was not burning, its the carbon rubbing off of the right black contact and being distributed onto the left, right one. great video and very helpful, it looks like. my mcpx arrives tomorrow cannot wait!

Problem fixed! Thanks for the post! AS FOR ALL YOU CLOWNS CRYING ABOUT THE LENGTH OF THE VIDEO, HOW ABOUT A THANKS TO THE MAN WHO POSTED IT? If you're anything like me, you've already spent a lot more time than the length of this video trying to resolve the problem. Otherwise you wouldn't be here. Some peoples disrespectfulness and ungratefulness never cease to amaze me. Thanks again!

@MarioIArguello Flying the helicopter from dusty areas suchs as dirt fields grounds will also affect the open servos operation.

Sometimes after several flights with no crashes, or a few light crashes, the main shaft bearings become loose, and allow the main shaft to have too much play. This has been the main source of vibrations for my mcpx and mxpx BL. Once I change the bearings, the vibes are gone again until they wear out. I use trinity bearing oil.. I think they are just low quality bearings. I am looking for a good, but inexpensive replacement.

another reason for unkown vibrations are sometimes coming from the mainboard itself. it is connected with 2 small screws to the frame and if you have some mechanical vibrations, they are confusing the fbl system on the mainboard. It's easy to decuple this with to small rubber rings from a Nano CPx that are underlying between the rear site of the mainboard and the frame. after that, the mainboard is less sensitive for vibrations from the whole frame of the helicopter.

I haven't encountered this problem quite yet on my mcpx bl, but I know it will be a problem in my future. Dirty servos are always an inevitability. Thanks for posting this video. =)

Very cool video. Thanks for sharing all that you know. My chopper has burned two servos at two diffrent times. one was the pitch servo after just 10 flights and the other was the elevator after 5 more flights. I wonder if what your talking about caused them to burn. Mabey not. The heli only has 40minunts of flight time. Its on its way to HH now for warranty. Again Very cool video.

@MarioIArguello Just a tip, vibration also comes from the tail boom flopping, twisting in particular, where the heli has gone through a few crashes and the boom, wether tubular or solid rod, has weakened, this reults in amplification of the tail vibration which the tail gyro tries to keep up with. I dont see these issues because I setup all my helicopters with properly MIA Upgrades designed to make the helicopter more stable and more durable. Check out my site for mCPX videos.

Good stuff, very educational. You said something about beeing able to use the feathering shaft from the Walkera 43 and that you would make another video for it, but you didn't? I would really appreciate it if you could get me in the right direction to finding these shafts that are supposedly cheaper :D

Kalliber, I see one potential problem with your heli from your video - the main blades are screwed too tight which can also cause vibs. The main blades need to move freely that when you position your heli sideways, the blade need to swing downwards freely, but yours does not seem. When I had my first heli, I had some vibs and my heli buddy pointed it out and the vib went away when I loosened the main blades. Hope it helps.

If you just spray a little contact cleaner into the top and bottom of the servo, and work it in using the cyclic stick then re do it once more to clean out the dirty residue. It saves taking off the tiny servos, and only takes 2 minutes to do all three. And it works perfectly :)

@AceMcMoron Laughable mate. Apt user name. You have two vids, neither of them instructional (ie for support of others) and you're gripe is that this is too long. Cracked me up. Make a concise version and upload it..... Nice job kalliber5. From a forum I found head cleaner for video tapes (retro I know) is pretty much the perfect fluid (alcohol). Used Q tips carefully. Absolutely necessary about every 50 flights if you want accurate collective and cyclic. Amp
