that's really cool… Really nice video I appreciated… I just got myself the blade nano S3 a friend gave it to me because he couldn't fly… I'm grateful I'm flying all over my home… But to be brushless on the main motor sweet… If only the tail could be … brushless… But this is a good start no more replacing. Very impressive thank you

Have you ever flown a collective pitch Heli? This heli is made for a intermediate level pilot.

This is six years late. I had dx6i too. Would not work well for almost any helicopter. I bought DX8 .... heaven. After the learning curve it was the missing link .

today my blh3325 esc just burnt up. it has issues with not responding to trottle hold, so that could be one of the reason. but even doing casual 3d, the esc heats up too. and finaly died 2months (about 300+ flights) from usage. quite disappointed its not programmable, many people have their own preferences, and for me, i don't like the fact that braking is enabled, which makes landing on some tight spaces tricky, as the motor would brake and the heli would spin when i land. but for people who have no idea about esc. this is a good product.

Besides the power, is there any benefit from upgrading to brushless?
@zoomtt11 жыл бұрын
Hi Cody, reliability also increases as there are no brushes to wear out on the main motor.
@joesmith-ht6vd11 жыл бұрын
Is there going to be a brushless tail motor also ? Looks like the tail is blowing out doesn't make sense to have a brushless main motor and a brushed tail motor
@rica051611 жыл бұрын
thank you so much for putting up this video. If you don't mind could you post the setting you have on your tx? Im losing my tail every time I give the nano more than 70 percent stick. Thank you very much again!
@zoomtt11 жыл бұрын
what radio are you using? The tail being loose can be a number of things, Old tail motor, damaged tail blade, etc. But I also found a good battery like the new efilte 45c batter makes the tail nice and solid.

zoomtt I have only had one bad crash, in result I had to replace the spindle. I actually just received a new canopy today (goblin style) and the extra weight stopped it from happening. The nano I have is fairly new and I try to really take care of it along with my other helis. Thank you for responding.

***** ohh sorry I didn't answer your question. I have a dx6i. Im going to go look at that battery. I have a few batteries for the nano about 8 or so.

Does the tail blow or wag know given the extra power? If it does should i upgrade my tail to the mcpx v2 tail or mcpx v2 extended tail since the original is going to have to deal with the extra brushless torque?

does this work on the nano s3, Thanks, Joe

I found this kit buried at my LHS today and installed it on my S3. The motor connection is different on the 5in1 board on the S3 so I chopped the connector off the old motor and spliced it on the BL ESC. The 5in1 also has a large chip on the front I assume is the AS3X system so the ESC tapes on like 2.5mm farther forward which leaves hardly any wire length for the motor leads but I made it work. The CG on mine is jacked now with the weight of the ESC added to the nose so I run the battery as far back as I can. Kinda awkward but works I guess. Have not gone 3D yet with it yet because a storm passing nearby is bringing unusually high winds to my backyard. First impressions, on my usual setting of 90% throttle in stunt 2 it would not even hardly take off which was weird. I raised it to 100 and it flies like it did before. Accordingly my 4 min flights on a 180mah pack became 3 minute flights. Havent noticed a real bump in power but it does seem to bog a bit less often in sport flying I guess. Honestly for the work of finding a kit and the $50 cost, I'm not convinced it was worth it. I expect the microheli aluminum swash and DFC rotor head i just ordered will be more beneficial upgrades.

If you are good at hitting throttle hold when crashing, it is very durable.
