I think this is the best version of this on KZbin. It seems it's very difficult to make it sound like the original by Vangelis because you must get so many things right, the pace, the timing, raising and lowering the volume, playing slowly and speeding it up. That's part of what makes it so evocative and so sad, what stirs our emotions, not just the melody. What a beautiful piece he wrote and how beautifully you play it.
@BopdropMusic10 жыл бұрын
I've been listening to this for years and I feel like you're the only person on KZbin who has covered this so accurately; with such emotion, desire and devotion with every note you play. Beautiful.

Today I need to listen to this cover again to relax my soul and to work in my room. My dog is now older and has cancer, but he is still by me and listening again like in the past. What gets me about this piece is that the timing of the notes is like one of Bach's arias married to Satie's Gymnopedies with some soulful Debussy thrown in to boot. Its as unique as Vangelis was.

I just watched Blade Runner for the first time a couple days ago. All I can say is what a masterpiece it was. But In particular this piece of music stuck out for me. How melancholic it sounded in such a dreary dystopian world. Especially from 1:00 to 2:05. You played this so beautifully

A beautiful piece played beautifully. My crush for more than two years and a half now (so more than a crush I guess) recently played it to me, so expressively and delicately that I just fell deeper in love. Tears came up so naturally…nothing like music and love can make us feel so magically alive and free, out of space and time. It was a beautiful moment. I will treasure it to remind me, when things get hard, how much life is worth it, even if my feelings are only one-sided and I know I shouldn’t think of him. I’ve tried not to but I just can’t help it. I sometimes feel we’re close and similar, but I guess it’s only me feeling that way. I often despise myself for being too shy to muster the courage to tell him how I like everything about him. You only live once and our time is so precious and too short. On the other hand I know I shouldn’t and it makes me feel so depressed, torn apart and lost… He seems to be already so happy and that’s all I can wish for him. If he ever reads this, I just hope that he won’t get offended, feel embarrassed or avoid me, but will keep smiling to me as openly and warmly as usual because it makes my day, and helps me recharge so much. I’m just grateful that we’ve met and would peacefully watch and listen to him play this wonderful music again and again, even on a sinking boat.
