Blade & Soul NA Drowning Deeps Numok Guide

Guide for the final boss in Drowning Deeps, Numok.
Attack Pattern:
1. Two frontal swipes
2. Linear slam (unblockable)
3. Two frontal swipes
4. Large frontal swipe, followed by two aoe spins
5. Room wide swipe with a 90-degree safe zone opposite of the arm he used to attack with
6. Linear slam
7. Repeats attack rotation
Mechanics: Normal Mode 80%/40% - Hard Mode 90%/60%/30%
1. Casts 6 unblockable aoes in random spots, hitting 5 times
2. Jumps to farthest player
3. Marks 3 people (farthest to closest)
4. Spits Ink at the 3 marked players
5. Try to keep the ink puddles in 3'o clock
6. Boss goes to the middle and creates a shockwave (jump or iframe it)
7. Dives underground and disappears
8. Each marker (indicated by white reticle) gets bitten once at 10 second intervals. Order of bite = far to close when initially marked
9. Non-markers (excluding tank) blocks the Ink Bubbles
10. Markers could block Ink Bubble, but ONLY after they got bitten
11. All Ink Bubble blockers go to 3'o lock line
12. After the last marker gets bit, he goes to the centre and marks closest player
13. Marked closest person needs to stay on 3'o clock line
14. Ink Zone Phase begins and establishes a safe zone at 3'o clock
15. Marked player moves 90-degrees clockwise to the next line to maintain the safe zone
16. Move 90-degree clockwise after every creation of the Ink Zone (exact same mechanics as pizza phase on Raven King)
17. Room wide pull and then knock back
18. The knock back will burst all bubbled players, allowing them to CC
19. End of phase. Mechanics the SAME in every phase
DPS Check Mechanic (only happens after 3 full attack rotations if you do not hit his health threshold).
- Marks farthest person, pulls and traps them in a bubble
- Covers entire room besides 8m radius of the boss in ink
- Knocks everyone away
- Run back to the boss to minimize ink debuff stacks (20 stacks kills you)
- Numok will blind everyone for 5 seconds with ink
- The boss will do two room wide shock waves (jump or iframe)
- Attempts to swipe at the bubbled player (his CC bar will be opened up. MUST be CC'ed here)
- This ONLY happens if you go pass 3 attack rotations without reaching mechanic phase
Things to Note:
- Marked could block bubbles, but only AFTER they got bitten
- Letting the Ink Zone hit bubbled players on hard mode = they die
- Allowing Numok to heal after Ink Zone Phase = wipe in hard mode
- Thralls & Cats are unaffected by the knock back
- Boss must always be tanked in melee range

Some of tips for tankers: *1. Tanking point:* When you tank Numok, fight at the 12 O'clock side to make others easily go to the safty spot when the boss uses 270 degree UB attack. *2. Ignoring the 270 degree attack:* If you're used to Numok, try to go backwards before he uses the 270 degree attack; he stops continuing his pattern and starts to stretch his leg to you to catch you, and you have to approach to him. This is how to ignore the 270 degree attack.

Hi, i always block those bubbles. But, i am still knocked back like others ... why ? Also can i block bubbles with spin deflect ( Des, Bd ) ? I die trying but never succeed with spin, maybe can't time it ?

you have to block when the bubble is above you , or as it lands if u get hit by the dark part of pizza u lose the floating bubble so u no longer immune to knokback
