Love the look of this ... borrows elements of others (HE valve like Seamaster, numerals like an Explorer, Yachtmaster bezel) but somehow has a unique look to it. Plus the rare 500M water resistance (1-300m being more common). Nice textured dial, love the unique handset, nice brushed case and nice knerling on the crown and HE escape valve and nice use of crown guards on BOTH.

I really like these reviews, I have stripped down a few watches and it is interesting what you find, a huge plastic spacer and tiny movement if you're unlucky! The extra plastic you found is unlikely to help water sealing, because it is inside the part where the stem is exposed. I found a nylon ring like this in a Merkur, and I decided it was designed to apply slight pressure to the dial and movement holder to stop them moving after the case was screwed down. I think they use nylon, because it slips easily and won't apply torque to the movement holder as the case back rotates. Keep up the good work, and Happy New Year 👍

I remove bezel inserts with goo gone. By spraying it on top of the bezel insert and letting it sit overnight. Always works well for me and hasn't damaged anything as of yet.

Thats right, however when you have paint filled markers on bezels it can remove the paint, its happened to one of mine, also it takes a while. For a quick fix, ive found a heat gun to sort alignment is great but removal is best by removing crystal. Alot of times removing the bezel causes damage too unless u have the right tools.

Not always, modded so much now, i know how to handle watches without them. Only when you have high laquer dials do you need some finger protection

Sadly, after removing the crystal and reinstalling it with the same crystal gasket I wouldn't be counting on the watch to be useable as a dive watch. Unless a pressure test is done. I never trust any of my divers after a crystal replacement.

Thats a personal thing thing, as long as gasket isnt damaged then it is absolutely fine. You just have to know what you are doing. Its actually not that critical as people think. They get assembled en masse, and its enough that the crystal is compressed properly.

Honestly, IDK if a display caseback is the best thing for a 500m water resistant watch. Id like to see this thing tested for myself. Not to mention, the watch could be thinner without it.

It's nothing new, though. steinhart does the same as well as many other brands. The likelihood is nobody will take this watch as deep as it states right, so it will be good for professional diving still.
