Just picked up a new 2021 Pagani PD1661 version, and must say, very pleased with it, the bezel, grips well and is more precis, lines up very well, fully brushed bracelet! Wish it had better lume though. Cheers for a good review.

Its worth getting the newer one as functionally it is decent. Just forget about the lume though

@@propblast82nd i have seen some replica nh5s being sold at some places. There is definitely a shortage of nh35s so we will see some issues. I dont know if pagani are using fake nh3s though

Great eye for comparing man! I usually can’t spot subtle differences like that. And kudos to pagani, they could have done zero improvements and still be selling well. Hell they could probably have cut more corners and slacked on qc and still be selling like mad.

I have a very early 43mm Miyota powered version and even though the crystal is not sapphire and the cyclops isn't that good it's still a great watch, I've managed to regulate the movement down to +1 second per day with a timegrapher. I might consider one of the latest versions but I don't like the polished centre links...I'd pay a bit more for a glidelock system on the clasp as well.

Slight QC issue with my 1661. The 12 o'clock triangle is minutely misaligned. It was running - 10 per day but managed to regulate it to +3. Its a good movement. I don't believe there's a better value for money mechanical watch on the market.

Since they are listening to feedback, I wonder if they'll give their GMT Master a bi-directional bezel for a future release? I really like the look and finishing of their GMT, especially with a jubilee bracelet which others dont have, but the unidirectional bezel is a dealbreaker that has me eyeing the Phylida GMT instead...

Zeb Sir never had much to do with Pagani watches although their Car Range is a Bit Nice.😜 Seems the BGW9 Lume on the Original and the New 2021 version has corrected the Bezel Pip Lume problem as the Original is obviously C3 and Green not matching. Bezel Ratchet looks better snd the Clicks certainly are an upgrade. The Crown change is a Minus as the Original seats better. Not sure how much more the Rollie Case and Watch can be Updated other than Sticking a Rolex Name on the Dial😮 You would think they would just do a 1:1 Version of the Rollie and be Done with it but that’s not good business for Pagani obviously. I have a Kermit version of this watch, which has all the same specs and dimensions as your black dial watch , but it says Explorer on the dial and has a fully brushed bracelet.

I think we are in a transitional period where we are gonna see units made with mishmashed parts until they burn through their stocks of old components and begin fully incorporating the improved watches going forward. Might wanna hold off on getting one myself until I can ensure that I'll be getting a piece that will have all the improvements.

Addiesdive quartz has better lume. I chose pd1661 gold blue though. I wanted the Rolex look.
