Resident since 2009 when homes were on fire sale and it’s been great. Moved once within Blaine. Positives are parks, easier access to lakes up north, safe suburb (but I moved from lower east St. Paul.). Low property tax compared to other burbs. Negatives, traffic on hwy 65 is horrible at all hours any day compared to 10 years ago, little shopping growth compared to the residential boom, our grocery stores and target on 109th are over shopped esp when sports are in full swing. Won’t find water or drinks. Don’t even attempt noodles or chipotle as well during those times.

Fingers crossed about the Hwy 65 traffic improvements they're working on. The new retail developments look pretty exciting too!

@@LivinginMinnesota yeah, funding is getting secured and looking like construction start around late ‘25, done around ‘30. We’re hoping for a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. A little bummed about the Hyvee no longer going in at Jefferson and Main Street by the high school. But I’m originally from WI and I have always raved about Kwik Trips back “home” and now that we have them in Blaine, my wife is now a believer.

Sweet! That's a long ways out, but glad to hear it's getting done anyways! And ... I do love me some Kwik Trip! :)

Blaine is still ok but the cancer from the inner city is creeping in. Crime is up, immigrants are placed in newly built high rises, they are not paying any taxes, but we are for them to live there. The prices in Blaine will not go up as it slowly turns into Brooklyn Dark and other unsafe areas nearby.
