As someone who has panic disorder it’s almost sad how quick I could tell what was happening to Ellis was a panic attack and it’s really strange to me (but good) that Mark didn’t know what was going on because from what I know he doesn’t usually experience those kind of things and I’m happy for him for that. This is also one of the first games I’ve seen that portrays panic attacks pretty well. A real panic attack doesn’t have flashing lights and a pulse in your ears, this is much more realistic (for my personal experiences anyway) ps don’t worry about me I’m on medication and have a wonderful therapist so now it’s just something I’ve learned to live with and I’m okay and happy!

I studied psychology, was gonna get it as a major. But there were a few classes I didn't want to go through so I backed out of the major. Anyway, a class required to get psych as a major is called Abnormal Psychology. Essentially, (from what I understand) it's a class about different disorders. Ranging from something as common as Depression and sleep disorders to something as severe as Schizophrenia. Among those is anxiety and panic attacks. As implied, I never took Abnormal, but I recognized that he was suffering from some kind of attack. I had a feeling it was either a panic attack because, "I'm lost in the woods and I don't have Bullet," or PTSD (but that would be dependant on if he served (where and what he did) or if he had a previous traumatic experience, such as getting lost in the woods when he was young). When he gets out of these woods (probably with the kid) and if he isn't already, I hope he goes to get the help he needs.

He gunna goof his way to hell and back, whilst being commenting the fack that he's perfectly fine being smart enough to see it to completion even if the way he'll do it is "full-on derp-mode" instead of "calm and collected". At least with Until Dawn, we know there's a line he won't cross without do-over, but at the beginning and all the way 'till "ze sh!t hits ze fan(pun intended)? . That's often a cringefest with sprinklings of serious Mark outright saying: "I'mma just not Alt-del meself", before saving and oups suicide by "?". It's kinda why we're tagging along. I agree, in the start we saw a pair of dog tags on the mirror, so he got back and got with Jess, they fell apart and he feel into a depressive spiral and was considering suicide, he worked for the sharif to pay bills and the sharif gave him a ESA because he saw Ellis falling apart, and now Ellis loves Bullet because he saved Ellis’s life.

I just watched the movie. They ventured into the woods in order to film a documentary on the topic of the Blair Witch, as you said. Early on in the movie, one of the people that was interviewed mentioned a hunter who was enticed by the witch to kidnap children and kill them. The woman said that the hunter would have one kid stand in the corner of the room facing the wall because the stares of the children made him uncomfortable. In regards to the "heart in the napkin," I thought it had to do with yet another story where a group came upon a number of people tied to each other, intestines hanging out, and symbols scored on their faces and heads. Therefore, my conclusion was that the heart was actually a piece of his intestine, but the wiki claims it was his tongue, so I honestly do not know. I've only seen the first movie, but my guess would be that the witch manipulates and drives insane her victims in order to push them towards evil or disturbing acts. If anyone sees this, I'd appreciate it if they could correct any info I might have gotten wrong or provide more accurate explanations for some of the things Mark questions at the beginning of the video.

The realism with the PTSD hits home a bit. I expected Bullet to be a service dog rather than just an assigned "partner", but the effect seems to be pretty similar. Seeing all he went through because of it wasn't exactly easy, reminded me a lot of what I'd seen friends go through, and a bit of what I went through after accepting my discharge. I have to say, I like that the game doesn't just paint him as crazy, but also doesn't hide how stress and mood disorders can affect your behavior and perception. They also didn't pull punches, you saw that he fucked up, that she fucked up, that he hit the bottom, and that someone who cared about him was there to try to help, even if the only help he could offer was "just take the damn dog." I like this game, I think.

I like your take :) I think Bullet is a partner to Ellis in the same way K9s for Warriors and other organizations partner retired military doggos with PTSD with veterans who may also have it. Bullet is a Belgian malinois which is a pretty popular Military/Police breed, and the Sheriff tells Ellis "he's been through a lot, like you have" so it makes sense to me at least. Bullet is a service dog as much as Ellis is his service human. ♡ What a good doggo.

"I can't remember what or why the witch could do these things." That's what made the movie so horrifying. It didn't explain anything about the witch. All you knew was that there WAS a witch. That's all you needed to know. The movie lets your imagination go crazy. When something explains its villain too much, it stops being scary. Also, the kids were out there because they were making a documentary on The Blair Witch. At the start of the game, they mention about how 3 students went missing in 1994. Those were the kids from the movie.

I'm a park ranger and I've found some pretty wild stuff. We found weird wooden mobiles like the Blair Witch ones one time, and another time I stumbled upon a girl doing some sort of ritual (I later learned it was a Wiccan thing). We've also found areas of dead grass were no matter what we do, we can't get plants to grow there, and I've seen people move past the windows of abandoned buildings, but that's not the weirdest thing I've ever seen. The park I work at is a battlefield from the War of 1812, and almost everyone who's worked there has their own story of seeing paranormal things, from women in white dresses on the actual battlefield to dead soldiers in old mirrors. My own experience was pretty strange too. I was walking through the woods after an event, making sure there weren't any stragglers or trespassers. As I came to a curve in the path I heard something rustling in the bushes off the left side of the trail. Thinking it was an animal, I made some noise of my own to scare it off. Thinking I had succeeded, I continued on, but a few seconds later the rustling resumed, closer this time. I quickened my pace, turning around to go back to my vehicle. This entire time, I felt as if something was watching me. But as I entered the field that my vehicle was parked in (an area where the actual battle took place) I heard footsteps behind me. I shone a flashlight into the woods but couldn't see anyone. I called out and there was no response. Pretty freaked out at this point, I started to double-time it to my truck. The footsteps quickened too, and by the time I reached my vehicle I was down-right scared. I got in and started it... And when the headlights turned on, they hit three shadows shaped like people. There weren't people there, mind you. Just shadows. I drove out as fast as I could, and after that I was always hesitant to work after dark.
