Totally agree!! I've been thinking that every time I see a spooky or story-heavy game streamed (by any channel). No offense to the streamers, but they always focus way more on chat and answering questions that are either silly or just have nothing to do with the game and barely pay attention to the game. I would prefer such streams to go more like this one did.

I don’t know if you guys will read these comments, but when the “tree monsters” as you’ve been calling then attack, tell Bullet to stay close then stand still. He’ll bark and point in the exact direction of the monster and then you can flashlight it without taking any damage or hopefully losing sight of the monster

More importantly though, no matter how far they move or in what direction it's not going to be fast enough for people to be falling off so if we're assuming human-like ghosts it's not like they'd be all "woah, where'd all the land go?!" while plunging into the ocean. If ghosts existed and didn't have any form of mobility then the movement of the Earth through space would certainly be the bigger issue for them anyway, since they'd spawn in and immediately get left behind out in the void somewhere.

This game pretty much sets you up, using your knowledge of standard videogame conventions, to gun straight for the bad ending. It's only by questioning these assumptions that you can escape. It's kind of brilliant in a way none of the films that inspired it are.
