I love horror movies and horror games, and jump scares don’t often get a reaction from me, but at 1:08:20 I freaking screamed out loud.

The red thread either is a ward against evil or a reference to the "red thread of Fate," which is a belief that someone and their soulmate are tied at birth via a metaphorical red thread...both of these being themes of this game, it appears (between the window and door being tied with threads (wards) and following the thread to get out/find Jane (soulmates)). Of course, the ties on the window and door could also symbolize one or the other being in mental disarray due to their relationship...or lack thereof. Either way, quite symbolic...which is what Asian horror tends to do much better than American horror (even if the American version is a remake). American horror tends more towards the gore and jump-scares, Asian horror focuses more on themes/symbolism/motifs and a sense of terror or dread.

When I first saw this stream Midway through I thought Andy was without pants (US) and pants (UK), idk maybe he lost a bet to Mike, and that's why he sat cross legged. After seeing your Twitter post I realized Andy's costume just turned the same color/colour as his skin in the orange tent, whew. Great costumes lads! Mike... Half Irish, in the UK, Halloween, next to a history major, and don't know who Samhain is.... I really don't know what to say on that. Look up Halloween and specify holiday, not movies. Also, wooden box on post - Shinto shrine, and if you want to live in survival horror, Andy, please learn to turn off your flashlight if there is enough light to see. Furthermore, props to Mike. He is not afraid of horror in games or film, and I understand the reason. They are amusement, not real. He is mentally stable and therefore can separate the two.
