Kind of same - I am from India and I had no clue about homosexuality until Brokeback Mountain came out. Around that time, Homosexuality was actually punishable by hanging in India (abolished in 2002 when India started getting very bad press 😂😂😂😂; Typical Indian behavior). To say I was flabbergasted about the concept of homosexuality would be an understatement; I could not for the life of me understand it. I migrated to Canada with that disbelief (never having seen a gay person in India) and then I started researching and talking with gay people in an attempt to understand and accept homosexuality. Now, it doesn't phase me one bit. According to Blair, I should have stayed in that gob smacked state of disbelief.

Candace was just absolutely horrible and transphobic (called her a man throughout) and Blaire is so desperate to be accepted by the right that she sat there and took it. The kind of hormones Blair would take are called HRT (hormone replacement therapy). As a trans woman, Blaire would be taking estrogen. A trans man would take testosterone. Some non-binary folks also take HRT depending on their needs. And yes, Ethan, you're entirely correct to point out that these are not even remotely similar to human growth hormones. Blaire is conflating all hormones equally in order to cloud the argument.

when i first came across Blaire and eased into her videos I was actually surprised how I could look past our political differences and still enjoy her videos - despite her topics in the videos often heavily leaning on her political beliefs. overtime i did begin to get uncomfortable with how heavily she went after "bad" trans people. It felt odd that those were the stories she wanted to prop up, but I just figured maybe she liked calling out the bad eggs in her community to help keep the community safe. then one day I stumbled across a few other videos discussing what it means to be non binary - and I realized how different it was to what Blaire had informed me. I researched further and ultimately came to find that Blaire wasn't sharing enough information about non-binary to come to a true understanding of it. Instead she basically had me believing it didn't exist thanks to some medical jargon she spouted. Because I figured who am I to deny science? I soon realized I had been subtly being fed a LOT of bad information from her that would hurt the very community I was wanting to become better educated about in order to best support them. To top it all off I then found out just how much misinformation she willingly added to videos and how dishonest she was willing to get just to make a video fit a narrative. After hearing from other people in the trans community it really made me open my eyes as to how she- intentionally or not- became a _pick-me_ trans person for the very right wing community that would deny her of her womanhood if she ever dared called herself a woman without including all the qualifiers such as "but i know i'm biologically a man" immediately after. I know she's made it clear she doesn't mind this since she knows she is biologically male, but I'd imagine most trans people would like to be able to refer to themselves as the gender they identify as without having to acknowledge their biology every time just to get some nods of approval from the people they align with. I struggle to figure out if this is a grift or not. Especially due to the fact that *she took a political test on video to show how her beliefs align with her political stance, and when the results came back LibLeft she edited it out to show it came back right leaning* lmfao. I just wanted to share how she can be a dangerous person to get your information from. Since she spreads these narratives in little bits and pieces overtime while also including things that you otherwise agree with, it doesn't raise alarms as easily, and gets viewers slowly supporting them without realizing the ways they invalidate those very same communities we think we're being accepting of and educated about. I'm usually not so blind when it comes to spouting misinformation, but she had me repeating what was basically propaganda believing I was knowledgeable. So... yeah... I'd take everything she says with a grain of salt. It's not too hard to find videos that show how she misinforms her audience about so many topics or intentionally leaves out vital information that add key context to stories she otherwise makes sound bizzare. Idk. This has been my two cents on Blaire. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. I know this was long. I have ADHD and I can't shut up lmfaoo i've accepted that my comments will always be mini-novels.

a a trans man on T I can confidently say that Joe Rogan and his ilk take insane amounts of testosterone, men who use T for body building tend to take upwards of 150-200 mg testosterone per week, my dose is around 40 mg and I've never heard of someone taking more than 80-100 mg per week. I get my blood levels measured regularly and my testosterone level is around the higher end of the normal range expected for men so I don't understand how these body builders can possibly be taking healthy amounts. I doubt they even do basic health maintenance like checking their levels.

The prescription is different for everyone depending on blood tests and weight. I get tested every 3 months. I'm nearly 2 years on T. Do you mean to specify far-right because to me there is a diff between far-right vs right-wing and far-left vs left-wing. I'm left-wing but to me far-left would be those who say there are more than two genders and shut down gender critical views. I have a family member who was born hermaphrodite just to clarify so I'm aware about the grey area and how some people have secondary sex characteristics that dont match their internal gonads. But there are people like that who dont have gender dysphoria and still identify with their ssc (secondary sex characteristics). For example there was a man in UK a few years back who had been peeing blood and went to the doctor and he found out he had female gonads. They asked if he wanted to change sex and he said he didnt. So the physicality of it isnt a determiner of whether someone has dysphoria. And tbh I'm open to persuasion and interested to conversate and work out what the truth is and what I believe which is why I dont agree with Stonewall's no debate. Apologies if that's off topic and if you already know all of the above but just wanted to mention incase you didnt and to give reference to why Blaire's beliefs have some validity and dont make her some extreme right-winger. None of us know everything yet and as long as we can still have amicable discussion then we can move forward together. But changing up society before we've got enough proof to back what trans activists say is causing much upheaval to the fabric of how our society works. Its normal to make fun of some people that are weird and argue about what they're saying, many lgbt youtubers do that too sometimes. But that's all she does lately. She doesn't do anything to make conservatives understand trans people, she doesn't show any good side. Besides herself. I used to like her, I really did, but this is just sad. And I can't stand by it anymore. Its okay to challenge your views and debate with people. But I'd much rather argue with far left people rather than right wing. At least one of them makes me feel more safe. Not sure what the hemaphrodite (intersex?) relative had to do with anything, its not the same as being trans. One is born with birth defect, other has problem with sense of self because of their brain. Im not saying that medical field isn't loosing their guard when it comes to helping people that claim to he trans/nb. We have detransitioners afterall. I looked up the blm covid thing, and found one study saying there was a statistically significant (remember statistically significant is an actual term, usually corresponding to a 5% threshold) increase in covid cases in counties where protests were occurring. however, the study said they only increased the median case count by a max 1/20th of the initial case rate pre protest, and could not really be considered 'societally significant.' basically protests most likely didn't cause any covid surges. I can't find any studies claiming anything worse, ie they were a major contributor to case increases (there are a lot of articles saying the protests didn't affect case counts at all though)
