I was going to attend ASU in 1996. The school was a class act! I remember the track coach walking up to me and said, “we need you”. My mother was diagnosed with colon cancer and I didn’t attend college. I stayed home to help her. The coach called my house and said there will always be a spot for me there. ASU has great people in it!

From a Pitt fan and the father of a 7 year old fighting his battle against Very High Risk Leukemia (B-ALL), he is two years into remission, we are sorry for your loss. We were lucky to get these two more years and hopefully he is cured because we know if it comes back, it can and probably will take him due to the prognosis. But it changed us, my wife of 13 years, it changed us forever. Sorry for your loss. I cant imagine. I can, but I gotta finish these onions for dinner. Good luck Arkansas St and Coachs Family

@@toniehatfield7342 the worst thing that couldve happened to me, for my mental state, happened this past year at one of his check ups. The woman behind us in line saw that we were going to floor 9 and she knew what floor that was and wished us well.....and we chatted and then she talked about her teenager with a similar form of Leukemia. Her son was in remission for 3.5 years and relapsed and now he was getting scheduled to go to Philadelphia for "experimental" procedures to stop it again and they were very worried that if it doesnt work that they will then know, for certain, they will bury their child. And ya know what, I wish I wouldn't have met that lady......I really didnt need or want to hear that. Its constantly on my mind. If his comes back...I know its ad close to a death sentence you can get. The Ace up our sleeve is having the older sibling at our disposal......they can harvest more marrow for him through her. Yuck yuck...its nice to share but nope....I'm going to check out of this thread. Good luck to all. And of course, sorry for your loss as well.

Stacks Verstappen in these hard times is when we all need to pray to Jesus; and him only. Jesus is the answer to all things, if you come forward and pray with your heart and speak with your mouth to Jesus I’m sure that he will answer your prayers. I’m a recently new born Christian. Earlier this month a good friend of mine got into a coma from the flu. I prayed to Jesus every night that he will get better and he woke up in 4 days. I’m not perfect in my religion (Christianity)but I know that Jesus is the cure to all sickness. If you don’t want to agree with me, that’s fine but I’m just saying what is right for everybody. Also I’m not sure about leukemia but their is many cures or slows down the process of cancers through fruits and nature herbs. With this being said I will include your son as well as your family in my prayers. God Bless

First off I would like to say thanks for sharing this heartfelt story. I admire Coach Anderson for his strength to continue his wife's legacy by continuing to coach. As an A-State student, you can feel the tremendous amount of love that the students, staff, and the community have for this family. I just started this semester and did not know Wendy personally but can tell she was a beautiful and caring woman. Praying for anyone dealing with a similar situation and may God continue to bless Coach Anderson, his family, and loved ones.

Please introduce her to the keto or keto carnivore diet. Please find a dietician or doctor that can work with y'all through it. Many people like Logan Sneed have and mikhaila petterson have gotten rid of aggressive forms of cancer and autoimmune disease. People have been silencing talk about this diet but it has helped so many by using fat and protein as energy instead of sugar people have successfully lowered inflammation and starved their cancer away.i hope this helps alot and I'm praying for y'all God is with us always.

If you’ve lived it... you know. Life is forever changed, every waking moment. He has his beautiful children and the team - all that love has & will continue to carry him through some of the most difficult times to come. But, when you lay your head down at night... those are the loneliest hours **ever** - I don’t care who you are. You just ache for them with every fiber of your being. And if you sleep, when you wake up - for just that initial split second - you don’t know and then you turn your head, glance over to an empty pillow and it all comes crashing right back down on you. It’s been 8 years now... and it [still] sucks. It’s not just the special days that you miss the most (birthdays, anniversaries, holidays), but the every day little moments of having your love, your life partner, right by your side. God bless you Coach Blake - I’m praying for you! ♥️

We are so sorry for your loss. I don't think anyone realizes the depth of that pain unless you have lost a spouse yourself. Coach, you will never get over that empty place that your wife filled with her beautiful self, that said; I want to encourage you that the pain will become manageable with time. lots of it. So don't rush, don't beat yourself up for struggling to get past it; time is the factor. Just take each day as it comes and know that she is waiting for you in Heaven, where she is perfectly healthy, smiling and still loving you.
