Goodness, I think the thing to read is Baldoni's lawsuit against the NYT. He comes with receipt galore instead of just accusations and lots of those receipts directly contradict the claims Blake Lively is making. I think Blake got her way on everything by making repeated threats to damage the production financially by refusing to fulfill her contractual obligations, and she got so carried away, she tried to take credit for other people's work by bullying and lying, because receipts expose her lying. I think she and her husband felt they were so in control by then, it never occurred to them anyone would fight back with lawsuits.

Blake Lively's complaints were communicated to HR and agreed to and signed by Baldoni after the SAG-Aftra strike, last year. a. The claims listed in the complaint are detailed and extensive. Baldoni agreed to and signed in favor of her requirements from her complaints b. Other women have come forward publicly, sharing their experiences of how they were treated and spoken to on set. c. A male co-star shared Blake's complaint on his social media, adding the caption, "please read." d. His female podcast co-host quit, posting a statement on social media saying, "we deserve better." e. The SAG-AFTRA association released a statement supporting Blake Lively, encouraging any women experiencing sexual harassment on movie or TV sets to report their concerns directly to SAG-AFTRA. This was a key solution for women on that set (besides Blake), who had previously reported Justin's behavior to the production company but were ignored and even threatened with retaliation for speaking up. This situation has escalated far beyond a mere warning sign-it's a full-blown crisis. The building is burning; it's time to get out.

Thank you for breaking this down so thoroughly. I just couldn’t fathom how Baldoni thought he would get away with behaving this way toward someone with Blake Lively’s level of wealth and clout. It makes sense now hearing that he knew he had someone equally powerful protecting him. Scary how easily public opinion can be swayed by this type of media manipulation.

Its not really shocking because not much has changed. Just because we make examples of a few ppl, it doesn’t fix the age old power structures. What I find confronting is that a younger professional guy on the come up is taking so much from the likes of Weinstein. The brass he has to believe this early in his career thinking he is untouchable. His hubris will be his upending. We clearly still have so much work to do. I believe Blake

The HR meeting that detailed the laundry list of sexual coercion, harassment, emotional gaslighting, and outright hostility experienced by Blake and the rest of the cast and crew? Yeah, that happened before filming resumed post-SAG-AFTRA strike last year. Nice try by Baldoni, multi-billionaire Sarowitz, and Heath, though, attempting to rewrite history and muddy the waters with Sarowitz's $100 million PR dumpster fire aimed at ruining Lively. All that spin because he, Baldoni, and their merry band of bros decided to treat Blake's on-set nudity like a private strip dance and lap dance session. Classy.

Hey, Ryan! 🍿🙋🏻♀️ This is incredibly dark, and unfitting for any sort of comedic relief. I have to say I didn’t comment on any early Baldoni stories on socials. I’ve had this exact feeling before. Sometimes the wall of anger and slander just doesn’t feel representational. Something about this Lively teardown did not feel organic to me either. I’m not saying I imagined anything this nefarious, but all the discourse was incredibly skewed in one (unjustified) direction. Eg. There is a YT-er who interviewed BL and while Blake didn’t seem friendly.. the amount of video this person put out about her interactions seemed over-inflated and gratuitous. Her comments section was also strangely complementary and even weirdly grateful, which seemed out of place. The point I want to make here, is that I’ve had the ick like this before... and when that happens, I step back from the comments section and try to get a more wholistic view of situation. When the overwhelming majority lean heavily into criticism and unfettered hate, it begins to appear contrived. We’ve seen this play out so many times before. With KE$HA, Rose McGowan, Alexandra Grant, Evan Rachel Wood, etc, etc. And we’re not allowed to forget the 2 who continue to be mercilessly battered online.. Meghan Markle and Amber Heard. For the life of me I don’t understand the source of the relentless hate meted out against them. I could not find any credible reasons to utterly destroy any of these women. Btw, when I just looked up Baldoni, low and behold... his PR firm is the same PR firm hired by Mr.Depp. I am 100% sure we have yet to see the myriad faces of that man held up for public scrutiny. Unbelievable .. the ppl you are talking about are the same PR firm that steered the social commentary during the Heard/Depp US trial. I myself might soon start feeling a little vindicated for questioning the veracity of the ongoing stories about Heard. We remain willfully ignorant of the fact that she actually won the UK lawsuit. Which was far less of a media circus. Sensitive cases like this should never be streamed to the general public. When there is no concrete basis for a tsunami of vitriol and anger ... question EVERYTHING. When the reaction is bigger than the action, use your critical thinking skills. Baldoni may have done us all a favour by bringing the unethical practices of PR into the spotlight, by unwittingly exposing far more than himself.

Can we not say “hmm... that’s tough” and hem and haw like we’re going to play devils advocate with an established pattern of behaviour that is predatory? That’s what we’re talking about here.

I highly recommend reading the book It Ends with Us! It kind of alludes to why Blake promoted the movie how she did, based on how her character, Lily, would do it.

Can’t believe how many people are still like “I dislike Blake Lively because of what I’ve seen with my own eyes, not a PR company”. Bro, 99% of you didn’t dislike her until the internet told you to over one clunky interview (there’s 100s of worse out there with other celebrities), and the fact people still believe this hatred happened naturally are so gullible. Also 🤦♀️ to all the people comparing her to Amber Heard. Just because one woman lied about abuse doesn’t mean every woman who comes forward is. I can’t believe that fact seems too hard for so many times grasp.

Ryan, why do you think Justin should lay down? There is two sides to every story you’re listening to Blake’s side and making your opinions without listening to Justin side. Anybody can make a complaint about anybody saying anything and you don’t know if it’s the TRUTH so with YOU having a KZbin channel you should hear both sides of the story without making assumptions, You are innocent until proven guilty!
