Yep, it sure is. Nothing against Blake, I love the guy, but how nice it must be to be sponsored. That bike costs €7,500 in Germany, miles out of most people's price range. Oh well, I can dream.......

I always thought 2.8 and 3.0 was considered the plus range. I believe this is the first I’ve heard of 2.6 falling in the category. Could this be why there’s an adjustable link to swap to 29 without dramatic geo change?

Nice genius 700 model. I especially like the 27.5" smaller rim & bigger tire plus wheels. Too bad I can't seem to buy the 700 (2018) model anymore in 2021. It seems to be replaced by the Scott Genius 900 models wich come stock with for me too big 29-er larger rims & smaller tires unfortunately :-( My question is " What size .. Tooth front chainring is on the Genius 700 ? " I like to know because I usually run a larger 36T in the front so I can use the larger more efficient cogs in the rear casstte in stead of having to use the 10 t or 11 t small inefficient cogs a lot.

Best looking Scott in more than 15 years! BTW, you guys are always running bottles on your bikes, I personally tend to prefer running a backpack (camelback). I feel like the weight is on me so I don't have to manouver it. If it's in the bike, I have to pull it along with the bike, feels heavier. Maybe a subject you guys can explore on a Dirt Shed Episode.

Blake, why 203 rotor only up front why not both front and rear? I'm considering upgrading my 180s to 203s.
@nooblymtb84507 жыл бұрын
You don’t need a big disk at the back because when you stop all you wait moves forward on to your front brake
@FULLmontyAC7 жыл бұрын
NOOBLY MTB I understand the physics, but then why factory 180 both and not 160 180? This is rhetorical, I just wanted Blake's opinion. I will be running 203 both soon as the 4 piston XT calipers are available.
@Zimblake7 жыл бұрын
The 180 up front is ok but when you're riding big DH sections I feel I need a bit more power up front. For the rear the 180 is perfect. 203 both ends is fine but on a enduro bike it's a bit over kill. DH maaaaybe
@FULLmontyAC7 жыл бұрын
Blake Samson I'm going 203 both to try it out see how it feels, I'm a big guy pushing 250lb in ride gear. When I think that my ride partner is like 100lb lighter than me and he riding 180's seems like 203's for me would be about equal. If too much I'll still have my 180 to put back on the rear. PS love the videos and you may have taken the spot of my favorite presenter, but all you guys are awesome! Cheers

Blake, When you move to tubeless will you use the current tyres or replace? I wanted to change to tubeless but my bike shop said seeing as i have already ridden on the tyres with tubes in it i should get new tyres as the fitting might not be good. hey guys today i bought my self new (used) mountain bike. i paid for it around $280. i have some questions about it because im a beginner. first the brakes. they squeak when i press them hard and the wheels doesnt stop when i apply full force i mean it stops but not good enough. its wet outside and could that be the issue? second is the rear gears the lever is really hard to press and it changes gears slowly and sometimes it doesnt. there is no sound when you dont pedal i dont know if it should be like that or na.. my chain sometimes falls off on the front gears (its 3x8) and when i apply good amount of pressure on the pedals in some gears the chain idk like skips of the teeth of the gear overall the bike is very good and everything works good but it should be serviced pretty soon.

@on1ytheb3st7 жыл бұрын
They've got tons of videos on GMBN that'll help you out. As for a quick answer, Idk if you have disk or v brakes but if you have disk it sounds like either you need to bleed the brakes or re run new cables and housing depending on if you have hydraulic or cable actuated disk brakes. As for the shifting, GMBN has videos for that. Sounds like you need new cable housing for that as well if there's a lot of resistance.
@antoniobmw7 жыл бұрын
Carter Hamlet thanks for your answer. the brakes are disc mechanical (cable) brakes i should just take it to the shop insead of.me doing that lol
@on1ytheb3st7 жыл бұрын
Yeah if you don't have experience I'd just take it to a shop. Possibly learn some things while you're there. Id also guess the pads need replacing if they're squealing really badly because that could mean they're either contaminated or they're far too worn down
@antoniobmw7 жыл бұрын
