Blake Snell couldn't avg over a K an IP until 2018. What happened? I, Roger Beshens taught him my football slider, which entails my grip, tilt and wrist action which is On Center Grip, throw like football, stiff wrist. It's the same on I taught Glasnow, Cole, deGrom, Musgrove, Taillon, Flaherty, Fried....I taught Matt Blake and Ethan Katz this also in May 2018, they got hired the next year. That is not how it works! Making the playoffs is a team effort, not just one pitcher! The Padres have lost 2 great pitchers this year due to injuries. That is one of the main reasons they probably will not make the playoffs.
