I think this is a wonderful addition to the daddy Kirbs channel. I love to see how other people garden and produce food. If gives us all a chance to learn something new. Everyone's space is different and everyone uses their space differently. Thank you and your friends for sharing this beautiful space.

I love your yard so much! Very thoughtful, practical, interesting, and beautiful. It seems like 95% of front yards are SO unoriginal and boring. Grass, non-native boxwood, a couple of species of flowers --- yaaaaaaawn. I would be that person to slow down and take pictures and gawk at a yard like that. Well done.

Progressive horticulture. Much more interesting than a generic lawn with a tree. I also heard a nice 🐦 bird. ✌

Great video Blake. I love the simplicity into creating their lovely garden. I love it. I grow my food amongst my flowers in my front garden too. It gives the neighbours and people that walk by something different to look at or admire.

It's nice to see how creative people get with their gardens. I watched a video a while back about some counties not allowing vegetable gardening in the front lawn so people must be mindful of this. Thank you for sharing.

I've enjoyed this video, thank you. I believe edible plants look great mixed with ornamentals and you have less pests and more beneficial insects and pollinators growing this way. It's amazing how much we can produce in a small space once we get the gardening bug.

Great video. It is videos like this that inspire me to keep iterating on my front yard garden. I have a similar situation where our backyard is not ideal for gardening, but the frontyard is. Fortunately I've not had to remove mature trees for this effort. As I've expanded each year I've just made new raised beds organized in neat rows each 4'x8', but I would like to start moving towards more creative edging and shapes. I have experimented with slotting vegetable and fruit plants (perrenial and annual) in here and there. It's always great to see how others are getting it done!

Every once in awhile would be nice. There used to be one channel I followed, but I got tired of just seeing gardens all over the US and rarely seeing what he did at his own home. I think he had a helper that did pretty much all of the work while he was out traveling. If you spend the majority of your time showing what everyone else is doing, you will neglect what you should be doing at home. That's my two cents, whatever it's worth.
@daddykirbs8 жыл бұрын
+SELF-RELIANCE and a STRONG COMMUNITY I totally agree. If I pursue this it will be only every now and then. Someday... someday when I can afford to do this more full time this might be something I toss in just to help inspire people.

Growing your own food is the best way to lower your impact on the environment. One trip to the store to buy food mass produced and flown in is a lot worse than a year of water used on a family food garden.
