We eat pumpkins all the time...but not the seeds...Im def gonna try this...altho we dont get your type of pumpkin we get other varieties that are really tasty and full of flesh ... always give cooked pumpkin to my dog couple of times a week but now with your great content he's going to be getting ground up dried pumkin seeds...i always put them in my hotwater cupboard (the seeds that is) to toss them in the garden to grow..

A reminder to turn the compost over is always a welcome reminder. Mushroom substrate looks like a nice addition. And also thanks for telling us to add carbon to our green cuttings. 🎉

Awesome that you guys can attract swarms so easily.... it's not so simple in France :-( Geography and availability of forage are everything to swarm paths. Where you are impacts on your ability to catch a swarm far more than any other criteria, regardless of how high or well-suited your bait hives are.

It's them! They devoured my new perennials last year. SLUGGO PLUS WORKS, IT HAS TO W/PLUS, NOT plain Sluggo. It's OMRI Iron Phosphate & safe. The birds love it though & it apparently doesn't hurt them.

I am completely new to bees, but I've been a mechanic a long time. Try "Harbor Freight black nitrile 8mm gloves" $8. For a box of 50. Reuse if you like. They dont tear.

I agree that catching local bees is the way to go. 100%of my bee yards are bees I've cought locally. I also agree that the best hives are the hotter hives, they have fewer problems and seem to produce more honey. They will build up faster in spring.

You should have did a air layer and she could have took branch of her choice and size which would start fruiting immediately

If the feeders go on top of the inner cover, and a medium box closing the feeders in, then the outer telescoping cover on top, allowing bees into that space, don't they glue the outer telescoping lid down and build some wonky comb from the top, making it hard to remove the outer cover later?

I know the sugar syrup from temperature ranges from night to day will crate vacuum and it will drip into the hive that’s what is been proven I wish some one will just use that method with out the bee hive and see how much sugar water drips down especially so many jars on top I’m going to try and update
