These upcoming Blamcon projects I plan on getting into are making me even more excited about the next BambuLab announcement early next year for their newest "prosumer" 3D printer!

Can you maybe make a video of the trigger and how it resets? This could be really helpful for competition shooters trying to improve their trigger discipline

Is their any possibility in the future were you would make already completed builds for sale?
@Props3DАй бұрын
I go into it in the next video. I am, I have lots, but I need a proper workflow that doesn't involve me doing it all. So Mike is learning, Chandler is learning though Mike, and they have a much bigger shop than me. This way it can scale. If it's just me I will be soldering all day and all the P3D projects will stop.

Will you ever offer pre-orders for completed light guns? I don't have the experience to do this myself.
@Props3D2 ай бұрын
Yes, I talk about it in the next video. I'm all about the innovation, not being a solder jocky. I have people starting to help on that side now, but every light gun you see has been soldered by me personally. I am not scalable so until I can train people up and hand things off it is impractical for me to sell at prices that are reasonable. I think the component and kit prices are extremely reasonable, that's because I have help there which lets me do it practically. So it's coming, just need to get there.
@Props3D2 ай бұрын
And a followup: I don't do pre-orders. Too many people these days are using that as a scam. I keep it honest, I won't sell it to you until I have it.

As soon as possible, there's an explanation on Facebook, we're on it solid to restock. We HAVE the stock to be honest, we just want to make sure we're filling the orders quickly and not get overloaded. We'll catch up to everything quick.

@Props3D The DIY model for the Blamcon is certainly a compelling...and your tutorial is wonderful! However, the assembly/manufacturing for an average gamer enthusiast is not for the faint of heart. Assuming that a 3D printer is in (or within) your possession (which is already assuming greatly), that only gets you a fraction of the way to getting you to actual gameplay. I would like to think I am pretty resourceful with my stock of tools, history in commercial A/V and personal ability, but from printing to assembly, this is nothing short of a daunting undertaking. I understand that completed kits are available (at a premium), but the "Gucci" factor is just a bit too steep. Yes, I would LOVE to have the resources to make one myself, but I still don't even have the ability to (re)create some of that awesome artwork you feature of other Vipers already made. Thanks for the video and all the tutelage, but I wish it was made a bit easier on the level of difficulty. Cheers
@Props3D22 күн бұрын
I will have easier ones, and we offer them complete to the public soon, we're only offering them by invite right now on our early access list because we only have so many hands. It's not an easy build and I get it, but this is how we make it accessible for now, there's no other way. We'll be offering more complete ones faster as we grow. We're a bespoke shop, not a factory, so we can only do what we can do in terms of scaling.
@brentrusche205622 күн бұрын
@@Props3D I really appreciate the thoughtful & detailed reply. I certainly understand and empathize with the nature of Blamcon's nascent state and the growing pains associated with any new company. I also commend you for at least making it an option for a DIY enthusiast (with access to a 3D printer!) to create something without delay...I really commend you for making that a possibility! I hope the company grows more rapidly than expected so you can offer more ready-to-play options available. As of now, my biggest hurdle is the 3D printing...might you know of any affordable options? If the cost of entry was reasonable, I would consider investing in a 3D printer so I may get on with making my own light guns for family and friends. I just don't know enough about the 3D printing technology to make an informed decision (and there is no one in my area that owns a 3D printer). Whether purchasing a pre-built light gun or making it myself, I still very much want a Blamcon! Happy Holidays, Brent

What gauge wires are used in this project? I believe you have 2 different kinds but i cannot find it on your site nor mentioned in the video.

I would recommend 28ga for most things and 26 or better for solenoid. With the exception of the solenoid it's extremely low voltage

Here's hoping you can upgrade to a multi filament printer, because I predict a lot of people accidentally breaking the wrong part. Ideal imo would be using a water soluble support filament, and minimum should be a different color. I'd make sure to translate the metric into American if you're shipping a lot to the states. Or maybe a printout with correctly sized wires people can just trace and cut from. Personally I'd rather just pay an extra $50 and have the wires pre soldered Also where do I send my application for QA tester? I lost this one's a dud. Lol

Yes, I have so many project I need to do videos for. This is a whole new workflow and new way of making videos that will hopefully allow me to do more faster. I do my best but for the most part I do this for free and share the models for free, I only got so much time. I'm hoping I can make this an endeavor soon and I'll have lots of time to make content.

@Props3D2 ай бұрын
I did open, sold out immediately and I had to close it to fill orders and get more help. I also gave away the models, posted a manual, and a parts list so people can make them themselves. I don't know what else I can do. Feel free to ping me on Discord if you have any ideas on how I can do this better. We'll get there in scale, but I have to do it in a way that works for me and the community. I'm not a man of means and I took no preorders.
@Props3D2 ай бұрын
You inspired me to publish and update video, much appreciated. Hopefully it fills in the blanks :D
@NodbyMomma2 ай бұрын
If anything I was the one trolling, but thank you for the update. My advice besides ignoring my teasing would be to focus on making all of the parts in batches and go down the line filling up kits when all of the parts bins are full. Edit your print files to print as many parts as possible in one go whether it's 100 triggers or 5 barrels or getting half of the parts in a single printing session because it seems like it would be a huge waste of time to unload and reset for each single part. Obviously use jigs instead of hand measuring and use actual wire strippers to prepare all of the wires much faster. Have laminated instructions at each assembly station especially for that wiring. I doubt I told you anything you probably aren't already working on, so I'll just end it with good luck and keep up the hard work.
@Props3D2 ай бұрын
@@NodbyMomma Yup, doing most of that. But always great to hear ideas. I post a lot of it on Discord to keep everyone up to date on the production. It's getting a lot faster as I create more and more jigs Every time something goes slow, a jig is the answer :D

soon, I am too overwhelmed with trying to get all the parts of this out to the community to commit to building a bunch right now, they're hand made so they take time, just like in the video. It's not that hard, but then times it by 100 and then it's a few weeks of repeating the process. I'm enlisting help but I have to ensure they're all doing it the me way and I have proper testing and QC.
