I hate that too, but KZbin has instilled fear in content creators, including the threat of their channels facing permanent deletion. As far as I know KZbin makes no exceptions for their banned words and phrases based on the video having journalistic merit or any such thing. And it's hard to tell which words will trigger them to pull a video so I understand if they just use euphemistic language for anything that might be remotely questionable. It can alter the tone of a video related to serious subject matter regardless of the creators intentions, but it's a fine line they're forced to walk, not one of their choosing.

I think it's really weird that those 3 would all be revealed to have done fucked up things to minors while having some connection to each other.

They're mostly all connected. In illegal activity of any kind there's mutual destruction, meaning both parties have to already have connections and dirt on them if they want to get in on it. I have reason to believe my older brother was involved with this as an Odyssey Foundation operative in the early Seventies and now do not know what to do with the information. My late mother lived with the dread of bodies coming out of his house and made me swear I would not be the one to go to the police. She went crazy when the Dean Corll situation was being excavated and was all over the news; I suspect she saw some form of pornographic material at the time that connected my brother to this bunch. John David Norman was present in my home in Dallas before Corll was turned out. He was introduced as one of my brother's college professors, although he was more like the Devil doing an impersonation of Roy Orbison. He set off all my alarms as a ten-year old! I think I know where bodies from this period might be buried. No one is interested in investigating cases from this time, and the established mythology is that Corll and Gacy were isolated perverts who resemble each other by chance, nothing to see here. I lose sleep over all this... thank you for drawing the public's attention to this shameful episode. God help us all!

I am a filmmaker, and my actress wife has an abiding interest in the psychopathology of serial killers. I know my older brother was capable of strangling and then raping a child as I was his first experiment in this direction. Even if the police ignore me, I need to tell this story. Might I suggest also following Barely Sociable/Slightly Sociable, Nexpo, Nick Crowley, Lazy Masquerade, Hannah the Horrible, Scare Theater, KyotoRobato, Cadaber, Sakura Stardust... There are more too I'm forgetting (and maybe others will chime in too with their suggestions), but that's a good set off the top of my head to start pushing your algo in the right direction when it comes to dark mysteries and lost media.

More potential supporting evidence that Gacy wasn't the sole murderer is the location of the buried bodies themselves: a crawlspace is a notoriously difficult space to traverse, especially so given Gacy's body size. The idea that he was able to lug limp bodies down there and bury them himself seems dubious, but gets more plausible if he had assistance, or wasn't even the one moving the bodies at all. Especially if his assistance was a younger, thinner man, not unlike Penske.

Prevailing attitudes before the gay rights movement kicked off were that homosexuality and pedophilia were one and the same. You can look up an old PSA from the 60s called "Boys Beware!" where they express the same thing. Its an old stereotype, and people viewed homosexuality as badly back then as we still do pedophilia today. It took a lot of hard fought effort to decouple the two concepts in the public conscience in the push for gay rights from the 90s onwards. Occasionally you see pedophile groups online trying to link them again because they want the acceptance that LGBT+ has managed to win, but they get kicked to the curb quite quickly. Sad thing is, that mentality conflating the two is making a comeback, there are people in this comment section using these horrible crimes as an excuse to be bigoted, blowing hard on their dogwhistles about 'they got let out so many times because of tolerance' and 'the one thing they all had in common is they were rainbows', lumping all gay people in with these murderous sickos. Gacy and the others in the video were also all white men, too, but hmm for SOME reason those same people aren't focusing on that. Weird... almost like they just want an excuse to justify their prejudices.

Good find man! It really does look similar to the composite sketch. Corll stated that his first victims were buried in California as well, and this adds up to the timeframe from when Norman was living in California, so it's possible that they had met each other during this period, and came to terms with one another to start an organized snuff ring/CP ring as collaborators, especially since they were both in Texas at the time of Corll's death. There were also 16 Polaroid shots found buried in Houston, with 11 of them being Corll's known victims, & the other 5 being unknown, which subsequently led to the arrest of 5 individuals in California, but this was then covered up with not much follow up after the fact. It's possible the other shots were of potential Corll victims in California, and it's possible that Corll directly sent these frames to Norman for financial benefit in the CP ring, and these shots were saved for a more "higher up" clientele of people who wanted to go a "step above" with their enjoyment, which I imagine if this particular snuff ring (that is also corroborated upon by Gacy) actually existed, those shots were saved for a more secretive & exclusive sub-sect of people. It's also possible that Norman himself buried those Polaroids before leaving Texas. Sucks that there wasn't much released/followed up on with this particular subject, as I think it all coincides together wayyyyyy too perfectly, and a lot of things you kind of have to fill in the details for, but even whenever you do so, they all still coincide together perfectly.
