Thanks, Blackie, for another great way to carry basic gear without expensive packs. The old ways worked quite well!

Blast it, Blackie! If you didn't live in the land of the diamond-tipped power-drill wearing mosquitoes, I would love to spend a weekend camping with ya.

Just reviewing your bedroll videos before buying myself a wool blanket. Great stuff mate! At 2.10 you mentioned doing a video on your Net. Will you still be doing one? I would be very interested in seeing what uses you put it to. Thanks Blackie, great teachings backed up with depth of history, very interesting!!!!

Hi Blackie. I watched your video again, copied your blanket roll as close as I could then did my first Blanket Roll Camp Out this Easter Friday. It worked great. The bush in my area is very close and the blanket roll was easier to move about than my normal backpack. I did a quick blog on a local bushcraft website, giving credit to the instructor of course : ) If you are interested you can check out my blog on www.bushcraft.org.nz Getting Out There:Blanket Roll Camp Out. Thanks for the great videos mate.

Wouldn’t you want to wrap your shelter AROUND your blanket.......keep your blanket dry?

ITS A GOOD THOUGHT but the blanket will protect the tarp from getting holes in it..the blanket will be warm even when wet
