My best friend and I played this EVERY WEEKEND at our closest mall (40 miles away). I rocked a Bunta STI (thanks to a local guy that got me the car initially). Filled out that whole card (probably Version 2-3 maybe? I actually don’t remember. He passed away in 2014. I’d do anything to have ONE MORE RACE with my dear friend. Memories I’ll always keep.

Did you know that the blank Sega ClubKart cards works on Initial D Arcade Stage machines? I have a blue RX7 FD full tuned on a ClubKart card, so for people searching blank cards you can buy any card for the Naomi System

Oh Boy, Initial D Arcade Stage Cards These cards are really brings me back my memories since I was 4 when my cousin showed me his Arcade Stage 3 Cards, that's the coolest thing I ever seen Sadly these cards later replaced by IC Cards at later installment and must back to square one

I’ve always loved arcade games that let you save your game on a card, it’s an experience I can’t describe when you see someone next to you with just the best stats and everything maxed out. I’ve never seen that game before but those types of racing games are fun so I wish I could have tried it.

Yo! I‘m a german teenager, who just got into the anime half a year ago, and i absolutely love it. Thanks to your video I found out about the Initial D games, and bought myself a good old japanese PS2 to play special stage. I also bought the dvds, blu rays and the other 3 Games for PS1, PSP and PS3. In Germany not many people know about the show because it was never shown on tv, arcades or manga. My friends won’t get into it because it’s in english, so there’s not much I can do. The big problem in germany is also, that arcades are like completely dead in this country, so i haven’t had any chance to play the arcade games on a real arcade. This is by far my favorite series of all time and i am very jealous that you’ve got to experienced those moments and got that memory form that time. You don’t know how much I would give to get those experiences. I am very sorry if my text concludes some kind of bad english or wrong gramma shit… You’ll get the point.

This video hit me with nostalgia hard. I used to go to my local arcade and play arcade stage 3 all time. I only had 1 card and my car was the hidden car (buntas Subaru wrx sti). Me and a couple of friends would always see who could get the best times. We were super bummed when they got rid of cabs. But I have to thank that arcade cab because if it wasn’t for that game I would have never gotten into anime or arcades.

I played Initial D once in Castles N' Coasters in Arizona and I didn't know what it was at the time, but later on I know to always look for at least Initial D or Wangan Midnight for the mark of a halfway alright arcade. Whether it's maintained or not is the other test, I miss the days where any machine you might find out here works perfectly. I understand that it's probably difficult to maintain a Japanese arcade machine lol.

I played Initial D Arcade 3, 4, zero, every where I travel I try to see if they still exist. When I was in Tokyo, got a chance to play the real life Initial D arcade in Odaiba..

Me and 2 buddies played the version 1 Arcade game in the mall at least once a week for hours each time. Enough that you would have to buy new cards because they were "worn" according to the game. Beat it completely with the FD and FC. Then they replaced it with the Version 2 and we played that for a few months before the arcade went out of business. I really missed those days, especially when people would line up for 2 player VS races and the loser would have to give up their seat to the next player in line. Years later I saw a Version 8 Machine and it was cool but all in Japanese, still played it though. Fast forward to last year when I saw a KZbin recommendation that you could play Initial D Zero on PC now. So I've got version 1, 2, and Zero and a G920 logitech wheel playing them when I have a chance. It's close, but nothing beats the real arcade experience...

I remember as a kid at the arcade, a bunch of us huddled around the machines with our cards slotted in the machines sign waiting our turn, fun times, just stumbled across an old initial d machine at a bar, im gonna buy some cards and go and play a bunch lol

The only initial D game I played was the American market PC game. And I was a broke kid so it wasn’t with a wheel or pedals. It was with a damn keyboard lol. I got into Initial D by the manga

I always beaten people with those aura in irohazaka. Just for trolling I even challenge them without a dang card 😂😂😂😂 Ofc I gotta turn on the catch up mode. I just that dang good in irohazaka. Tbh mastering how to go fast with irohazaka jump in stage 3 is the hardest part.

I've struggled to find info on these things anywhere, so I guess I'll ask here. A local arcade of mine has a v2 machine that me and a friend like to play. I couldn't find any blank v2 cards, but I did find some blank v1 cards. The machine itself has long ran out of new cards to dispense, but am I able to use the v1 cards to save my progress on the v2 machine? And along with that, is the machine supposed to take the card inside of itself? I put mine into the one that worked, but it didn't seem to do anything, and I didn't wanna push it in any farther for fear of it getting stuck in there in case the machine was just broken. Of the two machines, the one on the right explicitly said that the card system wasn't available, but the left one didn't have this warning.

All the cards are the same card, they just have different colors. The main thing is the data on the card. So let me explain: If you have a ver1 card and you started with ver2 data on it. If you use that card on a ver1 machine, it wont work. Since it has ver2 data. You can't use a card with data from a newer version on an older version of the game regardless of the card you have (orange, blue, green). But you can upgrade to a newer version with older data BUT (THIS IS IMPORTANT) never upgrade your data to a newer version if the machine has run out of cards. It voids your old card whenever you upgrade and gives you a new one with your saved data transferring over. To your 2nd question, yes. The card is supposed to go inside completely once it asks you to insert card. If it doesnt go in smooth, I wouldnt push any harder. Hope this helps.

Sadly, no. A lot of characters never got featured on the cards. It was just Takumi, Ryosuke, Keisuke, Mako, Sayuki, and Itsuki.

They still use cards but they're a bit sturdier and tied to an online account where you deposit money. They're called AIME cards.

So Initial D Zero and The Arcade use AIME cards. They look very plain cause they're used with other games and not just Initial D. They did release some exclusive Initial D ones though.
