Nice mini-stereo behind you! SO, (I played drums for ten years) a long-time friend and I went to see Stanley Clarke at Chicago SPACE. I forgot to look up the personnel he would be playing with. I noticed the drummer and in 5 short minutes, I was SHOCKED! I asked my friend, "Is that Tony Royster Jr.??" Mike's banter with Stanley was also hilarious and heartwarming. Stanley would kid him like, "He doesn't have his driver's license yet!" I saw him and Stanley two other times. In '74 I saw Buddy do a fifteen-minute drum solo live. Michael is now the best I have ever seen.❤

First - SUPPORT for an INTERVIEW with an ARTIST! C'mon Vinyl Community - support the actual people talking about their craft! Second - awesome! I am a drummer and I had not heard of him and I am very interested in a complete solo drum record - so Im gonna buy it! Thanks for sharing this!

Michael is the best I have ever seen. Try to catch him live, and sit as CLOSE as possible.
