I confess being guilty of blasphemy, I was an atheist for a long time and cursed anything and everything. Sometimes just to be shocking or to emphasize a point I was making. I didn’t believe in God and maybe secretly, in my heart of hearts, I was angry at Him for creating us in the first place. I just didn’t see the point of it all. By the mercy and grace of God I came to my senses. Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner ☦️🙏🏻

@@spacelinx I truly believe it was the mercy and grace of God. But to be more specific. I’ve believed in the spiritual realm for some time and I liked Jesus and His teachings. I went to Catholic schools but was never baptized. So I knew some things but just on the surface, never took it seriously...I found myself agreeing with Christians on many points. But the misery of the last few years took me to a point where I had to make a choice. I have a fiery spirit and I’m disagreeable and I was ready to put that to use to get my own justice in the world. But that path would lead me to destruction. I wasn’t sure if that was the right way so I shouted out to whoever was in charge, turned out, I got a response. So I went looking and I found the best kept secret in the West, the Orthodox Church...I could never have joined the Roman Catholics or the Protestants. So I thank God for leading me to a parish relatively close by.

We need to develop the will to abstain from spiritual filth despite loosing some temporary entertainment and distraction. We are impressionable creatures, and simply hearing/seeing something makes it more and more normal, and less shocking to our brains. So simply hearing something false or evil repeated will make you more likely to accept it, no matter what you intellectually think of it. Guard yourself brother.

Én Angliában élek, olyan helyen amitől kicsit, vagy eléggé messze vannak az Ortodox templomok.. 3 éve találtam rá az Ortodoxiára , teljesen meg változtatott a Szent Atyák és Papok tanítása, Father Spyridon az élen.. de nem vagyok még az Ortodox egyház tagja.. távolság miatt Kanadában van 2 Ortodox kolostor úgy hallottam, még hozzá Elder Ephraim of Mount Athos által Magyarországon nagyon kevés Ortodox templom van , Győrben már nincs is.. Budapesten van egy pár Ortodox templom, Balaton környékén is, akkor görög faluban Pesten, Alföld felett Ortodox kolostort terveznek szerzetesekell úgy emlékszem, de a pontos helyre nem emlékszem

I am deeply hurt when I hear someone using God's name and our Lord Jesus Christ's name as a curse. Our savior came to me after a near death accident and since then my deepest purpose in life is to learn all that I can about our Heavenly Father and to stay on and as close to living my life as our Lord Jesus Christ showed us during His walk with mankind. I too have been guilty of taking our Lord's name in vain, far too often. Change has not come easily. But it has come. I still slip up every now and then, but have taken real pains to honor the name of Jesus Christ instead of using it as an imprecation. Thank you for the reminder Father! ❤

@@greybone777 Hello my friend! God bless you! I used to be a practicing Carholic and still love my Catholic friends and family. I also love my Orhtodox friends and family. I am now non-denominational but I love listening to people preach (like father Spyridon) who love Jesus and Father God. I can tell you that the Catholics do not worship mother Mary. This is not correct and many people say this a lot. When Catholics pray to the saints and/ or mother Mary, they are asking for them to pray for/with them, to the Lord in addition to their own prayers, It's not worship. They don't worship them like one would worship the Father through his son Jesus. I don't really pray to the saints and mother Mary anymore, I just go straight to the source which of course, is Jesus Christ. But what they do is not the same as worship. I hope that makes sense? I would say that I've experience the same thing while out in the world at work. Every time that you hear the name of God blasphemed, say in your mind & with your heart, "I cast down those blasphemies & praise the Jesus the Son of God!" I found that foul language & especially the name of Jesus Christ can enter into our mind & we can find ourselves saying those same words without meaning it. It needs to be addressed in your mind & heart to stop it from becoming a part of your speech. I hope that this makes some sense. I found myself saying the "SH & F" words when I didn't bind them in this manner. I said it at times whenever I wasn't even angry. Had to repent to God for it. It has made a difference in my life.

Whatever thoughts come, tell yourself you do not want or choose them, they are not from you, God sees the truth of your heart. it is easier said than done, but try not to engage or become upset with them, brush them aside as unwanted dirt. Calmly say the Jesus Prayer whenever they come. Remain as peaceful as you can be. The demons delight in unsettling us, they want to rob us of Christ's peace. Don't put your energies into these thoughts, not even to combat them, simply brush them away as unwanted when they appear, and trust in God's love for you.

As usual, you are right on point with your observations. The blasphemers' days are numbered. Notice how bold they have gotten. They have not only equalized themselves to the faithful of Lord Christ, but demand that they are nearly worshipped, praised for giving them entry into the entertainment industry, the finance and usurer sectors... lest these weak characters bow to the gatekeepers of industries that undo all that is righteous, they are given a name that mimics the monicker "anti-Christ." Isn't it convenient how the hypocrites speak with both sides of their mouths? If we ever get really startled by something & accidentally use the Lord's name, we can always add in a "have mercy" & make it a prayer--maybe God will help us preserve peace of mind in circumstances that catch us off guard if we do that, plus we remember Him when we might otherwise be elsewhere in our thoughts.
