I went the opposite route. Having used Single Pedal Iron Cobras for 9 years. I changed to the A21 Axis pedals. I find More power behind them, having no chain drive makes them more accurate to me as well.

There is a double there that I seemed to have looked over on the main camera angle! Theres other stuff in there to, crashes mixed on chinas and such. However, this track when recorded was not triggered. Thats why there is dynamic. If you watch the studio clip of the song "Exile", you will see no triggers except on the kick. The kick trigger was only going to my headphone mix, not to the mixing console. Thanks for watching, Nick

@blastbeatshaman13 жыл бұрын
@Omni1Slash I dont count anything in my head because there is way too much going on. I was playing to either the entire album track or the drums only track that was in my headphones. In the studio I memorize every part I play and then record to a click. I dont like playing to scratch guitars in the studio because that makes for scratch sounding drums. If I memorize parts and play to a click then I only have to rely on myself to stay locked in. Every drummer is different though

@blastbeatshaman Damn, you're so awesome, thanks for answering my question. Though I have one more little question if you don't mind. When you're doing the fast 16ths heel toe thing, are your beaters like RR LL RR LL RR LL like a double stroke? And yeah, I won't worry about any haters. I'm drumming for myself, not them.

Chris Lewis the audio in the vid is a drums only track that was recorded in the studio and then dubbed over a video I shot at home.

Hey Nick, great playing as usual. couple of questions. I play the speedcobras too and love them but getting the slave to be as responsive as the main pedal is a problem i have. And when i play heel toe on the slave the chain slacks up quite badly. Any tips? And since we are at this could you tell me how your pedals are set up? tension and stuff. thanks and keep up the awesome work
