Starmer's judgement bewilders me. His visit to Southport and his refusal to speak to any of the people who had turned out to see him lay his wreath was a disaster. Why couldn't he see that walking away with that po-faced expression plastered over his face made him seem indifferent to the concerns of the people and as if his visit was purely one his advisors said he had to make?. Then we have him taking the knee to BLM and posing for the camera, yet calling the mainly white communities who protested post-Southport "far right" and again being indifferent to the underlying reasons why some of them may have may protested or gone too far and rioted.
